Der Gemeinsame Bundesausschuss ändert die Arzneimittel-Richtlinie für Tirzepatid (Mounjaro) im neuen Anwendungsgebiet Typ-2-Diabetes bei Kindern und Jugendlichen von 10 bis unter 18 Jahren und stellt fest, dass ein Zusatznutzen nicht belegt ist. Betroffen sind rund 300 bis 390 junge Patientinnen und Patienten; die Jahrestherapiekosten liegen zwischen 3 308,22 und 4 614,89 Euro.

Federal Environment Agency upgrades phosphine oxide 6366 to water hazard class 3

The Federal Environment Agency is increasing the classification of diphenyl(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)phosphine oxide (ID number 6366) from water hazard class 2 to WGK 3 and is withdrawing the classification from August 1, 2017. The general decree was announced in the Federal Gazette on October 14, 2026; immediate execution has been ordered.

Federal Foreign Office grants overseas officials up to 18 additional vacation days

The Federal Foreign Office will in future scale additional leave for officials of the Foreign Service at foreign posts of duty according to the hardship of the location, granting between 3 and 18 days per year. The General Administrative Regulation of September 16, 2026, was published in the Federal Gazette on October 14, 2026, and will enter into force on January 1, 2027.

The Federal Joint Committee has extended the benefit assessment of Imipenem/Cilastatin/Relebactam (Recarbrio) to pediatric patients under 18 years of age with hospital-acquired pneumonia, bacteremia, and infections caused by gram-negative pathogens. The added benefit is considered proven in all three areas of application; approximately 520 to 1,300 children are affected.
