Rhineland-Palatinate sets public collective bargaining for the hairdressing trade for November 9th

The state of Rheinland-Pfalz has set the date for the public hearing regarding the declaration of general applicability of the remuneration collective agreement for the hairdressing trade in the Rhineland association area. The Collective Agreement Committee of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz will negotiate this on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Mainz. The subject of the proceedings is an application for a declaration of general applicability pursuant to Section 5 of the Collective Agreements Act (Tarifvertragsgesetz). The Collective Agreement and its Scope

The collective agreement on remuneration in the hairdressing trade in the Rhineland association area is affected. It applies from January 1, 2027, and can be terminated for the first time on September 30, 2029.

With the declaration of general applicability, the collective remuneration regulations would also become binding for non-collective agreement-bound employers and employees of the industry in this association area. The Collective Agreement Committee of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz is responsible for the decision and will handle the application in a public session.
