France tightens housing rules for seasonal agricultural workers

An arrêté of 20 August 2026, published in the Journal officiel of 25 August 2026, sets reinforced requirements for the housing of agricultural seasonal workers, covering temperature, bedding, drinking water, fire safety and tent accommodation. It replaces the 1996 rules and affects employers and workers across the agricultural sector.

Francia endurece las normas de vivienda para los trabajadores agrícolas estacionales

Un arrêté del 20 de agosto de 2026, publicado en el Journal officiel del 25 de agosto de 2026, establece requisitos reforzados para el alojamiento de los trabajadores agrícolas temporeros, abarcando la temperatura, la ropa de cama, el agua potable, la seguridad contra incendios y el alojamiento en tiendas de campaña. Sustituye a las normas de 1996 y afecta a empleadores y trabajadores de todo el sector agrícola.

Austria sets homework tariff for brush and paintbrush makers

The Austrian Federal Conciliation Office issued a homework tariff regulating working times and piece rates for the manufacture of brushes and paintbrushes, with a 20% surcharge when workers supply their own tools, effective 1 June 2026.
