La Asamblea ratifica a Ana Julia Guido como presidenta de la Corte Suprema
La Asamblea Nacional aceptó la renuncia de la magistrada Alba Luz Ramos Vanegas y ratificó y juramentó a Ana Julia Guido Ochoa como Presidenta y a José Manuel Fuertes Toledo como Vicepresidente de la Corte Suprema de Justicia, con 91 votos a favor.

The Assembly ratifies Ana Julia Guido as president of the Supreme Court
The National Assembly accepted the resignation of Magistrate Alba Luz Ramos Vanegas and ratified and swore in Ana Julia Guido Ochoa as President and José Manuel Fuertes Toledo as Vice President of the Supreme Court of Justice, with 91 votes in favor.

Reforma constitucional en Nicaragua amplía mandatos a siete años
La Asamblea Nacional de Nicaragua aprobó en primera discusión la reforma parcial a la Constitución que amplía a siete años los períodos de todos los cargos de elección popular y de altos funcionarios, y prohíbe candidaturas a vinculados con golpes de Estado. La iniciativa quedó publicada en La Gaceta, Diario Oficial N.º 163 del 2 de septiembre de 2026.

Constitutional reform in Nicaragua extends mandates to seven years
The National Assembly of Nicaragua approved in the first discussion the partial reform to the Constitution that extends to seven years the terms of all elected offices and high-ranking officials, and prohibits candidacies for those linked to coups d’état. The initiative was published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 163 of September 2, 2026.
