Malteria La Moravia segella el cinquè conveni col·lectiu fins al 2028

The Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida publishes this October 14, 2026, the registration and publication of the V Collective Labor Agreement of the company Malteria La Moravia, SL, for the years 2026 to 2028. The resolution of the Department of Enterprise and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya, with reference BOP-2026_0_196_8394, orders the registration of the text in the Registry of collective labor agreements and accords of the Territorial Services in Lleida and its publication in the gazette. The agreement affects the entire workforce of the workplace that the company has in Bell-lloc d’Urgell, on the N-II highway, km 477.

The text was unanimously signed on September 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., in Bell-lloc d’Urgell, by the Negotiating Commission of the V Agreement, under the Workers’ Statute. The resolution is framed within articles 86.3 and 90.2 and 3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of October 23, and Royal Decree 713/2010, of May 28, regarding the registration and deposit of collective agreements. The document bears the file number 25100012012013 and occupies pages 1 to 37 of the gazette, signed by Maria Pilar Espax Gaya on October 7, 2026.

An agreement signed unanimously and valid for three years

The duration of the agreement is three years, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028, and it enters into force once registered by the labor authority, without prejudice to provisional application from the date of signing. The economic effects are retroactive to January 1, 2026. If no party denounces it three months in advance, it shall be extended for one more year.

The negotiating table was composed of the following people:

  • On behalf of the company: Juan Antonio Álvarez Revilla, Carles Larribes Ribes, and José Antonio Hidalgo Castillo.
  • On behalf of the workers: Alexandre Fuentes Bori.

The text regulates the labor relations of the entire workforce and structures the personnel into five professional groups, with four functional levels within group IV, which consists of technicians and officials of the malt industry.

Salary increases and productivity bonus

The agreed annual fixed increase is 2.75% for 2026 and 2.5% for 2027 and 2028, applied to all concepts except those with specific increases in tables, such as the night shift bonus, the holiday bonus, the uninterrupted workday bonus, and the functional bonus. The annual base salary for group I increases from 48,787.01 euros in 2026 to 51,256.85 euros in 2028; the total guaranteed for group IV level A goes from 22,186.34 euros in 2026 to 23,309.53 euros in 2028.

Additionally, a variable and non-consolidatable productivity bonus is established, of up to 1% of the payroll based on the tonnage produced —with a minimum annual production of 79,194 tonnes— and up to 0.3% according to the ICDamm quality indicator. A guaranteed minimum salary supplement of an additional 325 gross euros per year is also created for each year of the period.

Working hours, holidays and employment guarantees

The general working day is 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, with a maximum of fourteen annual holidays, two of which are local. Holidays are 23 working days, with a minimum of two weeks in the summer, and the company has fifteen days of annual flexibility, with structural, exceptional, and conjunctural modalities.

The company commits not to reduce the workforce during the term of the agreement, except in cases of retirement, death, disability, voluntary resignation, or confirmed dismissals. In the event of a collective redundancy procedure, the reverse order of seniority criterion is maintained, and remunerative differences cannot be a criterion for affectation.

Health, insurance and retirement

The agreement maintains a collective life insurance policy with capitals of 15,025.30 euros for natural death, 30,050.61 euros for accidental death, and 45,075.91 euros for death in a traffic accident, in addition to accident insurance by age. It also establishes four loyalty awards, at 10, 20, 30, and 40 years of service, and an annual aid for children with a recognized disability equal to or greater than 33%.

Regarding retirement, the text incorporates the compulsory retirement with a gender perspective provided for in Law 21/2021, of December 28, and regulates partial retirement with a relief contract. Any discrepancy in application or interpretation is submitted to a joint commission and, if necessary, to the Labor Court of Catalonia.

The publication closes the labor framework of the Bell-lloc d’Urgell malting plant for the next three years and provides stability to an industrial workforce in a context of cost review. Workers find the agreed salary revaluation, the employment guarantee, and the improvement of assistance supplements guaranteed until 2028.
