IMPSOL approves the basis for 71 protected housing units in Molins de Rei
Por FactBox Admin

The CEO of the Metropolitan Institute for Land Promotion and Asset Management (IMPSOL) resolved on September 29, 2026, to definitively approve the rules governing the allocation of 40 official protected rental homes on plot R10 and 31 homes on plot R13, both in the municipality of Molins de Rei. The resolution, processed under file 169/26, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona on October 2, 2026, with the official reference CVE 202610147175. The procedure is aimed at individuals and cohabitation units registered in the Registry of Applicants for Officially Protected Housing of Catalonia.
IMPSOL, an agency of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, acts as the promoter for both developments. The resolution also dismisses the allegation presented by Mr. David Chicano Valenzuela regarding the census registration requirement for list A1 of the plot R13 development, and maintains the agreements of the CEO’s decree number 122/2026. The agreement is notified to the Molins de Rei City Council and the Housing Agency of Catalonia, and an administrative appeal may be filed against it before the Governing Board of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area within one month.
Two developments and a draw before a public notary
- Plot R10: 40 homes at Turó del Molei Street, 10-12; the development has 44 homes and 4 are excluded from the draw as a reserve for the municipality’s Social Emergency Table.
- Plot R13: 31 homes at Avinguda de la Mancomunitat, 24; the development has 35 homes and 4 are excluded for the same reason.
The selection of the successful applicants will be carried out via a draw before a public notary, in a public act at a municipal facility, following the order of the lists published on the IMPSOL website and that of the Molins de Rei City Council. The reserve list will be valid for two years to cover eventual vacancies.
Lists and access requirements
The participant lists are distributed as follows:
- R10: list A (28 homes, for people aged 36 to 64), list B for reduced mobility (2), list C1 for single-parent families (5), and list C2 for people with a disability equal to or greater than 33% (5).
- R13: list A.1 for young people aged 35 or under (20 homes), list A.2 for seniors aged 65 or over (10), and list B for reduced mobility (1).

The main deadlines are:
- Ten business days to file claims against the provisional lists.
- Twenty business days to publish the definitive lists.
- Fifteen business days for IMPSOL to request documentation and ten business days to prove the requirements.
- One month to effectively occupy the dwelling from the formalization of the contract.
The regulatory framework of the bases includes Law 18/2007 on the right to housing, Decree 106/2009, Decree 75/2014, Order MAH 489/2009, Law 9/2011 and Resolution TER/2515/2025.
The publication opens the way for people registered in the Register of Applicants for Protected Public Housing (HPO) of Molins de Rei to opt for 71 protected rental homes, an offer that covers both the general regime and specific collectives and sets the definitive rules for the draw.
