El BOPB publica el conveni del transport de mercaderies de Barcelona 2026-2028

The Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona publishes this September 29, 2026, the resolution of September 25 ordering the registration and publication of the Collective Labor Agreement for the Road Freight Transport and Logistics sector of the Province of Barcelona for the years 2026-2028, with agreement code 08004295011994. The resolution is signed by the director of Territorial Services in Barcelona of the Department of Enterprise and Labor, Lídia Frias Forcada, and the text occupies pages 1 to 93 of the gazette, with the official reference CVE 202610145528.

An agreement signed in July and registered in September

The agreement was signed on July 27, 2026, by the business representation —TRANSCALIT and UNO— and the social part —the Federation of Services, Mobility and Consumption, Roads, Urban and Logistics of UGT and the Federation of Citizen Services Road Sector of CCOO. The registration was carried out in the Registry of collective agreements, collective labor agreements and equality plans of the Department of Enterprise and Labor in Barcelona, with notification to the Negotiating Commission.

The territorial scope binds all companies based in the province of Barcelona and those that, residing outside, have an establishment there regarding the assigned personnel. The functional scope includes the public transport of goods, logistics, courier services, and distribution and delivery by all types of land routes, excluding railways, as well as transport operators and logistics operators.

The following are expressly excluded:

  • Companies designated to provide the universal postal service (Law 43/2010).
  • Activities included in the State Collective Agreement for home delivery (code 9908665).
  • Courier, distribution and delivery companies that do not require administrative authorization for freight transport or as a transport operator.

Salary increases of 3.5%, 3.3% and 3.2%

The agreement comes into force on January 1, 2026, and lasts until December 31, 2028, regardless of the date of publication. The agreed increases are:

  • 2026: 3.5% over the 2025 tables, effective from January 1, 2026.
  • 2027: 3.3% over those of 2026.
  • 2028: 3.2% over those of 2027.

Back pay will be paid with the payroll of the second month following the publication in the corresponding official gazette. If the accumulated CPI of the three years exceeds 10%, the Negotiating Commission will carry out a non-retroactive technical review effective from January 1, 2029.

The 2026 tables set, for example, an annual total of 29,096.05 euros for the category of mechanical driver and TPC, 27,280.60 euros for driver and 26,047.55 euros for van driver.

Working day, vacations and allowances

The working day is 39 hours and 30 minutes of effective work per week, from Monday to Friday, with 20 daily minutes for a “snack” considered as effective working time. Staff are entitled to 30 calendar days of paid vacation, preferably between June and September, and two additional days if activity increases during this period.

Other economic conditions for 2026:

  • Vacation fund: 517.50 euros.
  • Full national allowance: 59.02 euros; TIR allowance: 90.86 euros.
  • Square allowance: 13.01 euros; Germany: 113.71 euros; Italy: 97.17 euros; dangerous goods: 60.44 euros.
  • Night shift bonus of 25% of the base salary between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
  • Danger bonus of 10% of the base salary plus seniority.
  • Seniority: one four-year period and five five-year periods at 10% of the base salary.

Joint Commission and other commitments

The interpreting Joint Commission will have 8 employer representatives and 8 worker representatives, and will meet at the request of either party with a minimum notice of 24 hours. Specific commissions for removals, cranes, and dangerous goods are created.

The text also includes compulsory retirement at 68 years with the indefinite hiring of a new worker, a negotiation fee of 50 euros, leave of 15 days for marriage and 2 days for personal matters, and the obligation to develop a Sustainable Mobility Plan to Work with a deadline of December 5, 2026, for companies with more than 200 employees.

With this publication, drivers and logistics workers in the province of Barcelona now know the labor and salary conditions that will apply over the next three years, including retroactive back pay from January 1, 2026.
