Tourism cancels the agency Tiquetes Travel World in Leganés in the public interest

The General Directorate of Tourism and Hospitality of the Community of Madrid has declared the impossibility of exercising travel agency activities and the annulment in the Registry of Tourism Companies of the holder Tiquetes Travel World, domiciled in Leganés. The decision is formalized in the Resolution of October 7, 2026, signed by the general director Laura Martínez Cerro, and is published in the BOCM no. 251, of October 21, 2026, in section I.D of Announcements, page 227, with case reference 03/16.539/26.

The scope of the resolution

The announcement, agreed upon by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport, affects a single holder and comprises two accumulated administrative effects: the impossibility of continuing to operate as a travel agency and the removal from the regional registry of the sector. The sectoral framework of the measure is Law 1/1999, of March 12, on the Regulation of Tourism of the Community of Madrid, which regulates the activity of tourism companies in the region, and the organic structure established by Decree 264/2023, of December 5, which assigns the competencies of regulation and control of the sector to the General Directorate of Tourism and Hospitality.

The coincidence of dates and legal wording confirms a standardized procedure: agreement by the general directorate, full publication of the holder’s data, and public communication via the BOCM so that any operator or user can be aware of the company’s administrative status.

What this implies for customers

The registry annulment deprives the holder of the authorization to market tourist services and places them outside the official registry, so that consumers can verify their status before contracting.
