Tourism cancels the travel agency Virago PJ 2000 in Fuenlabrada

The General Directorate of Tourism and Hospitality of the Community of Madrid has declared the impossibility of exercising travel agency activities and has agreed to the annulment in the Registry of Tourism Companies of the commercial entity Virago PJ 2000, S. L., domiciled in Fuenlabrada. The resolution was signed on October 2, 2026, by the Director General of Tourism and Hospitality, Laura Martínez Cerro, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) number 245, dated October 14, 2026, with the reference BOCM-20261014-56.

The announcement is issued, according to the text itself, “for reasons of public interest regarding both commercial traffic and the defense of consumers and users.” The publication is carried out in compliance with the provisions of article 45.1 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, a precept that requires the publication in the corresponding official gazette of administrative acts that affect an indeterminate number of people or whose individual notification is not possible.

The resolution expressly identifies the holder to whom the measure applies, with the following data:

The agreement encompasses two cumulative effects: the impossibility of continuing to exercise travel agency activities and the annulment of the holder in the regional registry of tourism companies. The administrative file associated with the resolution is identified by number 03/16.126/26.

The legal framework of the publication

Article 45.1 of Law 39/2015 regulates the publicity of administrative acts when personal notification is not possible or when the act is addressed to an indeterminate plurality of recipients. In this case, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport resorts to this route to provide general knowledge of the loss of authorization of the company in the Madrid tourism sector.

The resolution is inserted in section I of the gazette, within the announcements heading of the Community of Madrid, and is dated October 2, 2026, twelve days before its official publication.

In parallel, the bulletin has also included resolutions for the cessation of travel agency activity, a status distinct from registration annulment, such as those referring to Rusticae Viajes, S. L. (CICMA 2258) and Alvarezway (CICMA 4952).

What this implies for consumers

The annulment in the Registry of Tourism Companies means that Virago PJ 2000, S. L. ceases to appear as an authorized travel agency in the Community of Madrid, so it cannot continue marketing tourism services under that status. For clients with contracted reservations, advance payments, or pending claims, the official publication constitutes the documentary reference that proves the company’s situation and is decisive when filing claims or activating the guarantees provided for the sector.
