Tourism cancels the registration of the agency Judith Travel in the public interest
Por FactBox Admin

The General Directorate of Tourism and Hospitality of the Community of Madrid has declared the impossibility for Judith Travel to carry out travel agency activities and has agreed upon its annulment in the Registry of Tourism Companies. The resolution is signed by the general director, Laura Martínez Cerro, on October 14, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) No. 255, corresponding to Monday, October 26, 2026, in section I (Community of Madrid, D) Announcements), with document number 64 and reference 03/16.820/26.
The announcement is issued by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport and is motivated, according to the official text, “for reasons of public interest regarding both commercial traffic and the defense of consumers and users.” The resolution does not detail the facts that originated it nor the procedure followed, and is limited to making public the loss of authorization and the removal from the regional registry of the affected holder, which occupies page 267 of the gazette.
The publication is carried out, as stated in the document itself, “in compliance with the provisions of article 45.1 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.” This precept is what supports the publicity of administrative acts in the official gazette when reasons of public interest concur, such that the resolution achieves effectiveness against third parties through the BOCM and not through individual notification.
The file of the affected holder
The data that the resolution incorporates regarding the company are as follows:
- Name: Judith Travel
- NIF (Tax ID): 55216054T
- Address: Sierra de la Estrella street, 20, ground floor, Madrid
- Regional identification code: CICMA 4237
- Signing authority: Laura Martínez Cerro, general director of Tourism and Hospitality
- Date of resolution: October 14, 2026
- Publication: BOCM No. 255, of October 26, 2026, pág. 267, section I, D) Announcements
The agreement affects the entirety of the holder’s tourism intermediation activity, that is, the impossibility of continuing to operate as a travel agency within the Community of Madrid and its removal from the registry that authorizes it to do so.
Seven preceding annulments since August
That of Judith Travel is not an isolated decision. In the last three months, the same body has signed equivalent resolutions with identical headings and the same invocation of public interest and the defense of consumers:
- August 10, 2026: Khalifaservice, S. L. (published on August 19)
- August 12, 2026: Cuerda Viva, S. L. U. (published on August 21)
- September 4, 2026: Bajocero Expediciones, S. L. (published on October 8)
- September 7, 2026: Furtado Gestiones y Servicios, S. L. (published on September 17)
- September 10, 2026: Haerenga Exclusive Experiences, S. L. and Rig Travel (published on September 28)
- October 2, 2026: Virago PJ 2000, S. L. (published on October 14)
- October 7, 2026: Tiquetes Travel World, CICMA 4500 (published on October 21)
In those cases, as in the one now published, the resolution is limited to confirming the impossibility of exercise and the registry annulment, without quantifying sanctions or detailing disciplinary proceedings.
Impact on travelers with open reservations
The removal from the Registry of Tourism Companies deprives the holder of the necessary authorization to contract tourism services, meaning that customers with ongoing reservations or payments are left with an operator that no longer appears as an authorized agency in the Community of Madrid. The text does not establish a guarantee period nor mention bonds, deposits, or a reimbursement mechanism, and implicitly refers to the general channels for claims before the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport and consumer authorities.
The relevance of the publication is twofold: it provides official publicity regarding the loss of authorization of Judith Travel for the express purpose of protecting consumers and users, and it allows any traveler or company to verify, through the BOCM, that CICMA 4237 no longer corresponds to an active agency. The announcement occupies a single page and does not include annexes or additional information regarding the preceding procedure.
