The remuneration set in the guidelines is 1,985.76 gross euros per month in fourteen payments. The assigned functions include the detection and prevention of risk or social exclusion situations, the preparation of socio-educational reports, social, cultural, and educational mediation, and referral to other professionals and specialized services.
Competitive examination in two phases
The selection process consists of an eliminatory examination phase and a merit phase:

The syllabus, contained in Annex II, consists of 21 topics and covers Decree 74/2022, which regulates the Family Care Programs in Extremadura, Law 14/2015, on Social Services of Extremadura, and Organic Law 8/2021, on the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents against violence. Additionally, a job bank will be established with those who pass the process without being hired, ordered by score and with a minimum of 1.5 points in each exam of the competitive examination.
The call for applications and its rules will be published on the electronic office of the Mancomunidad, and they may be challenged by an optional appeal for reversal within one month or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Cáceres.
The call reinforces the staff of the regional social services with a stable, full-time position, in a context of high temporality in family care programs. For social education professionals in the region and the rest of the province, it represents an opportunity for access to permanent public employment through a regulated competitive examination process, with previous experience in family care programs as the primary merit.
