Soria abre el cobro voluntario del IBI urbano de 2026

The Soria City Council has opened the voluntary payment period for the Real Estate Tax (IBI) for urban properties and Special Characteristics (CCEE) corresponding to the 2026 fiscal year, which extends from September 21 to November 23, 2026, both inclusive. The collection announcement is signed by the mayor, Javier Antón Cacho, dated September 17, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 110, of September 21, 2026, in the Local Administration section, with the official reference BOPSO-110-21092026.

The call is addressed to taxpayers and other interested parties in the municipality of Soria, owners of urban real estate and properties with special characteristics, and is part of the tax management that the Soria City Council carries out directly, without delegation to the Provincial Council of Soria. In fact, the provincial announcement for the collection of periodic local taxes for the second period of 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 96, of August 19, 2026 (BOPSO-96-19082026) and signed by president Benito Serrano Mata, expressly excludes the capital from its scope of application, along with Almazán, El Burgo de Osma, and Ólvega.

The calendar for this fiscal year follows the Soria City Council’s submission for public review, on August 28, 2026, of the 2026 Rural IBI register for twenty business days, a procedure published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 100 (BOPSO-100-28082026) and signed by the delegated councilor for Economic Development, Francisco Javier Muñoz Expósito. The collection now announced therefore affects the urban modality and the special characteristics quotas.

Deadlines, entities, and electronic payment

Payment can be made at any office of the collaborating entities, providing the corresponding receipts:

  • Caja Rural de Soria
  • Unicaja Banco
  • Banco Santander
  • Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria
  • Caixabank
  • Banco Sabadell

Additionally, receipts can be paid via credit or debit card online through the “Electronic payment of taxes” link available on three official channels:

Direct debit, duplicates, and taxpayer assistance

Taxpayers who do not have direct debit set up will receive the receipts at their tax address to pay them in the manner, locations, and deadlines indicated. Anyone who does not receive one of the receipts they must pay may request a duplicate at any Caja Rural de Soria office. For those who do have direct debit set up, the amount will be charged to their designated account.

For any clarification, the Soria City Council provides assistance from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.:

  • Receipt details (ownership, N.I.F., amount, fiscal year): Tax Management office, telephones 975 234 161 and 975 234 162.
  • Payment issues: Collection office, telephones 975 234 104 and 975 234 105.

Consequences of non-payment

Once the voluntary payment period has elapsed without the debt being satisfied, the executive period will begin and the debts will be demanded through the enforcement procedure. This entails the accrual of executive period surcharges and late payment interest under the terms of articles 26 and 28 of Law 58/2003, of December 17, General Tax Law, and, where applicable, any costs incurred.

The announcement has a direct impact on all owners of urban properties and properties with special characteristics in the municipality of Soria, who have slightly more than two months to comply without surcharges. The deadline, November 23, 2026, marks the last day to pay during the voluntary period and avoid the enforcement procedure.
