The Salou City Council has announced a selection process to fill one position for a medium-level general administration technician, group A, subgroup A2, as a career civil servant, with a provision for six additional positions to cover future vacancies. The call and the specific rules are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) on October 16, 2026, under reference CVE 2026-09375, and were approved by the Local Governing Board in an ordinary session on September 24, 2026.

The process is convened by decree of the delegated councillor for General Services number 4744/2026, dated September 28, 2026, and the announcement is signed by the mayor Pere Granados Carrillo. • Specific supplement: 1,558.2 euros (14 payments)
  • Selection system: open competitive examination (concurs-oposició)

Applications must be submitted within a period of 20 business days starting from the day after the publication of the announcement in the BOPT and its summary in the DOGC. Processing is electronic, via the procedure available at the Electronic Office of the Salou City Council (www.salou.cat), with identification by IDCAT certificate or another means of electronic certification.

The examination fee is 42 euros and can be paid through four channels:

The qualifying tribunal will be composed of an odd number of career civil servants or permanent labor staff, with the following proportion:

  • One third composed of members or officials of the same corporation, one of whom will serve as president
  • One third composed of technical staff, from the same entity or another

Process phases and job bank

The selection process consists of two phases. The competitive examination phase is worth 90 points and includes five mandatory and eliminatory exercises:

  • First: multiple-choice exam, 25 points
  • Second: written practical test, 40 points
  • Third: proposal or report, 25 points
  • Fourth: Catalan language test, pass or fail
  • Fifth: Spanish language test, pass or fail

The merit phase is worth up to 10 points, distributed among professional training (maximum 3 points), professional experience (maximum 4 points), qualifications other than the required one (maximum 2 points), and ACTIC level (maximum 1 point).

Those who pass the process must complete a six-month selective internship period. Successful candidates without a position will be integrated, in order of final score, into a preferential list for the allocation of the six additional positions and, subsequently, into a job bank with a validity of two years, automatically extendable for one-year periods.

The call opens a stable access route to the local public service for university graduates and, at the same time, organizes the future filling of up to seven general administration technician positions in Salou, a forecast of interest to both candidates and municipal staff aspiring to secure a permanent position.
