Riudoms announces a vacancy for a general administration technician A1

The Riudoms City Council has approved the call and the regulatory bases for the selection process by competitive examination (concurs-oposició), open entry, for one career civil servant position as a general administration technician A1. The decision was adopted by mayoral decree on September 9, 2026 (number 2026-0001245), signed by Mayor Ricard Gili Ferré, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on September 14, 2026, with the official reference CVE 2026-08455.

The position, vacant in the entity’s personnel staff, corresponds to the general administration scale, technical sub-scale, group A, subgroup A1, with destination level 26. The fixed annual gross remuneration is €38,032.48, and the remunerative provisions of the agreement or regulations governing the working conditions of the local entity apply. The process is framed within file 3004/2026.

Requirements and submission of applications

Interested persons must meet, by the end of the submission deadline, the requirements of nationality, functional capacity, age, and not be disqualified from exercising public functions. Additionally, they must possess an official degree (licenciatura, grau, or diplomatura) and certify C1 level of Catalan, as well as C2 level of Spanish for those who are not native speakers.

• Applications are submitted to the general registry of the City Council, preferably electronically with a digital certificate, or in person from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• The deadline is 20 business days starting from the day after the last publication of the call summary in the BOE.
• An examination fee of €30 must be paid, with exemptions for people with a disability equal to or greater than 33% and job seekers under certain conditions.
• The attached documentation includes DNI or NIE, language certificates, qualification, curriculum vitae, and proof of payment of the fee.

Phases of the selection process

The selection system is that of a competitive examination (concurs-oposició), with a preliminary phase of knowledge of the Catalan and Spanish languages for those who have not certified them. The approximate start of the tests is planned for the month of October.

• Examination phase (oposició): a test of 40 questions on the attached syllabus (maximum 10 points) and a written practical test on a case study chosen between two (maximum 10 points), both of which are mandatory and eliminatory.
• Merit phase (concurs): assessment of merits, with a non-eliminatory interview (maximum 3 points), work experience (maximum 3 points), training (maximum 2 points), academic qualifications (maximum 1 point), and knowledge of Catalan (maximum 1 point).

The order of appearance of the candidates will begin with those whose first surname starts with the letter K, according to the draw carried out by the Provincial Council of Tarragona published in the BOPT on June 29, 2026.

Appointment and job bank

People who pass the process will be appointed as trainee civil servants for a period of 6 months, under the supervision of the head of the destination administrative unit. Once the period is completed, the appointment as career civil service personnel will take place, which will be published in the BOPT.

All people who pass the process and are not appointed will be part of the job bank, ordered by score, with a validity of 5 years, to cover future temporary staffing needs of the entity.

The call is published in the BOPT, on the electronic office, and on the Transparency Portal of the City Council, and the summary is disseminated in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Official State Gazette. The call represents an opportunity for local administration professionals in the Baix Camp region, who can apply for a stable position as a senior technician with legal-administrative, human resources, and urban planning functions.
