The Official Gazette of the Province of Girona (no. 166, of August 28, 2026) publishes the Resolution of August 20, 2026 from the Territorial Services of the Department of Enterprise and Labor in Girona, which provides for the registration and publication of the collective labor agreement of the company GBI PAPREC, SA (Lloret de Mar delegation) for the years 2026-2031. The text, signed by the parties on July 13, 2026, is incorporated into the Registry of Collective Agreements under the code 17000881011994.

The resolution, signed by proxy by Anna Maria Mallol Gusiñé, head of the Labor Relations Service, is based on articles 90.2 and 90.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015 (Workers’ Statute) and Royal Decree 713/2010 regarding the registration and deposit of agreements. The agreement affects the entire staff of the Lloret de Mar delegation, the concessionaire for street cleaning services, collection and transport of urban solid waste, waste collection centers, beach cleaning, maintenance of leisure areas, and management of controlled deposits of urban solid waste and soil and rubble.

Validity and Working Hours

The agreement has a duration of six years: it enters into force on January 1, 2026, and ends on December 31, 2031, with the possibility of extension by tacit renewal if not denounced three months in advance. The working day is fixed at 35 weekly hours, with a 30-minute daily break paid by the company, and as of January 1, 2028, the entire staff will enjoy a weekly rest of two consecutive days. Vacations are 34 calendar days, with the enjoyment period between October 1 and June 10.

Economic Conditions

Article 25 of the agreement agrees to a salary increase of 3% annually for each of the six annual periods (2026-2031), with the clause that, if the City Council revises the company’s payment by more than 3% for personnel, the increase would be adjusted to this revision. The toxic, arduous, and dangerous bonus increases from 21% of the base salary in 2026 to 25% in 2031, with an annual increase of one point. The night shift bonus is 25% of the base salary.

  • Holiday work supplement: €150 per daytime holiday and €187.75 per nighttime holiday starting in January 2027; €225 per day for working on January 1 and December 25 and 26.
  • Per diems: €18 per day and €0.20 per kilometer.
  • Individual loans: maximum of €1,200, with a maximum disbursed allocation of €20,000 and repayment in 12 months.
  • Training: 60 annual hours within the working day for all workers.

The annexed salary table fixes the multi-year remuneration by professional groups. For example, in 2031, a cleaning laborer will receive €40,089.12 annually, a first-class daytime driver €46,848, and a nighttime assistant foreman €55,980.96, in all cases with four extraordinary payments.

Union Rights and Occupational Health

The agreement recognizes forty monthly hours of union credit, a fixed office, and a notice board per workplace for the Works Council, and guarantees freedom of association. A Joint Commission for interpretation and arbitration is created, which must resolve issues within a period of 10 days and, in case of disagreement, refer them to the Labor Court of Catalonia. A joint Occupational Health Committee is also recognized, consisting of three company representatives and three worker representatives, with a minimum monthly meeting.

The company commits to maintaining the permanent staff during the term of the agreement and to not reducing the contract months of any permanent seasonal worker, and establishes a job pool for filling temporary vacancies.
