Publicado el convenio de Amurrio Ferrocarril con subidas del 4,1 por ciento

The Official Gazette of the Historical Territory of Álava (BOTHA) publishes this Monday, November 2, 2026, the collective agreement of Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos, SA —formerly Talleres Amurrio, SA— for the years 2026 and 2027. The publication is ordered by resolution of the territorial delegate of Labor and Social Security of Álava of the Department of Economy, Labor and Employment of the Basque Government, Ibon López Aldaz, signed in Vitoria-Gasteiz on August 13, 2026, which provides for the registration in the Registry of Agreements and its publication in the gazette. The text was signed by the works council and the company’s management in Amurrio (Álava) on July 22, 2026.

Official registration and retroactive validity

The resolution is based on article 90.2 of the revised text of the Workers’ Statute Law, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, and on Decree 323/2024, which establishes the organic structure of the regional department. The administrative file is 01001202011981 and the provision appears in section III of the journal, dedicated to other public administrations.

The agreement affects the entire workforce providing service in Amurrio, excluding the management personnel referred to in article 2.a of the Statute. Its validity begins on January 1, 2026, and extends until December 31, 2027, “regardless of the date of its registration by the labor authority.” Upon expiration, it is understood to be automatically terminated and its content continues to be applied until the signing of the next one.

Increases linked to CPI and profit bonus

The 2026 salary increase is calculated using the BAC CPI for 2025 —set at 2.9 percent— plus 1.2 points, resulting in 4.1 percent. Personnel not subject to bonuses also receive a compensation of 0.7 points, up to 4.8 percent. For 2027, the reference is the Basque CPI of 2026 plus one point, with an extra half point if the company reaches 45 million euros in turnover.

The monthly base salaries in the tables are as follows:

  • First-year specialist: 1,485.20 euros.
  • Specialist: 1,501.77 euros.
  • Third-class official: 1,523.45 euros.
  • Second-class official: 1,594.84 euros.
  • First-class official: 1,670.98 euros.
  • First-class official team leader: 1,893.13 euros.

To this is added a monthly base bonus of between 306.41 and 623.10 euros depending on the category, a shift bonus of 144 gross euros per year, night shift pay of 3.80 euros per hour, a toxic substances bonus of 241.77 euros per month, and five-year seniority bonuses from 1.93 to 2.76 euros per day. Two extraordinary payments of 30 days of base salary are maintained, as well as a non-consolidatable linear payment equivalent to 5 percent of distributable profits, payable in June or July of the following fiscal year.

Working day, performance and permits

The annual working day is set at 1,686 hours under the normal regime and 1,646 for relief shifts. Vacations are 30 days, and each hour of overtime is paid double; on holidays and between 2:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 PM on Sunday, the coefficient increases to 2.75, with an annual limit of 40 hours which may be substituted by salary.

The main novelty is the development remuneration, which replaces the activity bonus based on the Bedaux system. It consists of a base bonus per category and a supplement A (18 to 20 valuation points) or B (14 to 17 points). To avoid losses, the personal supplement P. A. (Prima Antigua/Old Bonus) is created, consolidated in the payroll and updatable with the collective agreement.

Life insurance with a sum insured of 45,347.40 euros is also guaranteed, along with a company store allowance of 16.91 euros per month, study grants of 119.41 and 212.51 euros, advances of 500 euros up to four times a year, and loans for housing and furniture. Personnel over 55 years of age may voluntarily request to leave the night shift, with three-month rotations when there are multiple requests.

Joint Commission and Union Control

The joint commission, composed of the works council and management, assumes the interpretation and monitoring of the agreement. In case of non-application of conditions, a 15-day consultation period is opened, and the commission must resolve the issue within 7 days before resorting to the PRECO.

The committee will have 20 paid monthly hours per member, accumulable up to 40, and will receive quarterly information on the progress of the business. Additionally, the company commits to approving internal regulations for licenses and permits, limiting hiring via ETT (temporary employment agencies) to three months, and reserving 2 percent of positions for people with disabilities.

The text closes with commitments to equal treatment, zero tolerance for sexual harassment, and the promotion of Basque in the plant’s fixed signage.

The agreement takes effect retroactively to January and provides job stability until the end of 2027 for a highly masculinized industrial workforce, in a context of generational renewal and pressure on shifts.
