Ordes announces two local police positions in its job offer

The Ordes City Council approved the Public Employment Offer for the year 2026 through Mayoral Resolution No. 1400/2026, dated October 13, 2026. Among the announced positions are two for local police—one inspector and one officer—which will be filled via internal promotion. The announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) number 198, on Friday, October 16, 2026, under announcement number 2026/6609.

The offer consists of a total of twenty positions, eleven for civil service personnel and nine for contractual staff, according to the details accompanying the resolution signed by the mayor, José Luis Sanjurjo Martínez. The publication in the provincial gazette provides official publicity to the offer and opens the way for the corresponding selection processes, which will be called under the conditions provided for in public service regulations.

Two local police positions via internal promotion

The 2026 OEP reserves two positions for the local police force, both of special administration, special services subscale, and both linked to internal promotion:

One position for local police official inspector, classified in group A2.
One position for local police officer, classified in group C1.

These two positions are the only ones in the offer reserved for personnel already serving in the council, limiting access to those who are already part of the municipal staff.

Eleven civil service positions

In addition to the two police positions, the civil service block includes the following positions:

One position for chief architect of service, group A1, technical subscale.
One position for head of works brigade, I.e S.B., group A2, technical subscale.
Two positions for works brigade officer, group C2, special services subscale.
Two positions for driver, group C2, special services subscale.
One position for library assistant, group C2, auxiliary subscale.
One position for sports management technician, group A2, technical subscale.
One position for management technician, group A2, general administration, technical subscale.

Nine contractual staff positions

The second block of the offer corresponds to contractual staff, with nine positions of a temporary or discontinuous nature:

One position for O.R.A. controller, equivalent to public administration, part-time.
One position for cleaner of the “O Muiño” outdoor pool, fixed discontinuous for the summer season.
Six positions for lifeguards at the “O Muiño” outdoor pool, equivalent to group C2, fixed discontinuous for the summer season.
One position for janitor/cleaner of the Costume Museum.

The offer reflects a commitment to the consolidation of positions linked to seasonal municipal services, such as the outdoor pool, along with the reinforcement of technical and works areas.

Relevance for staff and candidates

The publication of the OEP is the mandatory preliminary step for the Ordes City Council to be able to call the corresponding selection processes. For active municipal staff, the two local police positions via internal promotion open a path for promotion within the corps. For candidates outside the staff, the offer provides for eleven open-access positions in fields as diverse as architecture, the library, sports, general management, and operational services.
