Miguelturra corrects the experience scale for the Social Educator position

The Miguelturra City Council has modified the professional experience scale for the selection process for one Social Educator position. The correction was approved by Mayoral Decree No. 2026/2319, dated October 28, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real No. 213, dated November 4, 2026 (announcement number 3546), in Section I, City Councils. The change directly affects individuals registered in the competitive examination process convened under the 2024 Public Employment Offer.

The error being corrected

The modification is limited to clause 8.3, section a), of the regulatory bases of the process: the one dedicated to professional experience within the competition phase. The text in effect until now valued services provided in a category different from that of the convened position.

• Where it said: “services provided as a Human Resources Technician of subgroup A2 as civil service personnel or Professional Group II as labor personnel, in any Public Administration, will be valued at 0.25 points per full month up to 20 points.”
• It now says: “services provided as a Social Educator of subgroup A2 as civil service personnel or Professional Group II as labor personnel, in any Public Administration, will be valued at 0.25 points per full month up to 20 points.”

The rest of the clause remains intact: the competitive examination system, the status of the position as permanent labor personnel, and the score of 0.25 points per full month of service are maintained.

Competitive examination and scope of the rectification

The position is filled as permanent labor personnel through a competitive examination and is included in the City Council’s 2024 Public Employment Offer. The rectification only affects the merit of experience, one of the sections of the competition phase, and leaves the access requirements, the examination exercises, and the composition of the scale in its other concepts unchanged.

The announcement does not open a new registration period nor set an additional calendar for the process: it is limited to replacing the wording of the section. The text bears the signature of the mayor, Luis Ramón Mohíno López, dated in Miguelturra on October 29, 2026, one day after the date of the decree.

A discrepancy that remains in the text

The section retains an internal mismatch that the correction does not resolve. Its heading still reads “Professional experience (Maximum 15 points),” while the body of the provision allows for the accumulation of up to 20 points with the scale of 0.25 per full month.

• Cap in the section heading: 15 points.
• Cap in the valuation scale: 20 points.
• Value per unit: 0.25 points for each full month of services provided.

Both figures coexist in the same published section, without the decree clarifying which prevails in the application of the scale.

Why it matters to applicants

The correction has an immediate practical effect for those applying for the position: from now on, experience accumulated in the specific role of Social Educator is valued—whether under the civil service regime of subgroup A2 or the labor regime of professional Group II, in any administration—and not experience developed in a category unrelated to the purpose of the call. Anyone who has worked as a social educator in another local, provincial, or regional administration may claim those services during the competition phase; conversely, time served as a human resources technician will no longer score in that section. Interested parties should review the documentation they submitted, as the rectification is published while the process is already underway and affects the final score of the merits phase.
