Los Monegros hires its social worker and approves the employment pool

The Comarca de Los Monegros has resolved to hire a Social Worker position, group A2, as permanent contractual staff, filled through a competitive examination via open access, and has approved the temporary hiring pool for the same position. The decision is signed by the comarcal president, Pedro Manuel Loscertales Nogues, in Sariñena on October 7, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca (Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Huesca) no. 194, Friday, October 9, 2026, with official reference BOPH-2026-194025.

The file is based on the General Bases of the call published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca no. 121, on July 1, 2025, and on the third minutes of the selection tribunal, held on September 22, 2026, and disseminated on the comarcal electronic office (announcement 81193) the following day. The resolution of approved persons and hiring proposals had been published in the same gazette, no. 189, on October 2, 2026. The decree is issued under article 21.1.h) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime.

The highest-scoring applicant

The position is awarded to Gema Liñares Lahoz, who obtained the highest score in the selection process, with 76.01 points. The resolution provides for the formal notification of the hiring, the setting of the remuneration corresponding to the position, and the formalization of the contract as permanent contractual staff.

The applicant provided, via general application (no. 3389), a sworn statement that she had not been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings and the supporting documentation of functional compatibility and capacity.

Temporary hiring pool

The decree approves the temporary hiring pool for Social Worker of the comarca, with calls made in descending order of score starting from the candidate who obtained the position. It consists of seven people:

Procedures, publicity, and appeals

The resolution orders the communication of the hiring to the Personnel Registry and the corresponding public employment office within ten days following the formalization of the contract, as well as informing the legal representation of the employees. The agreement will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca, on the notice board of edicts and announcements, on the electronic office, and on the transparency portal, and will be reported to the Comarcal Council in its first ordinary session.

An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution before the same body within one month from the day following its publication, or an administrative appeal may be filed before the corresponding court within two months.

The call for applications consolidates a social work position in a region with a markedly rural and dispersed profile, where primary care depends on small staffs. The simultaneous approval of the temporary employment pool provides the service with a regulated mechanism for substitution and reinforcement, with seven professionals ranked by merit, which reduces discretion in future coverage and provides stability to the provision of regional social services.
