Lloret de Mar announces five concierge positions via internal promotion

The Lloret de Mar City Council has announced an internal promotion competitive examination to fill five vacant Janitor positions within its labor staff. The call, approved by the Local Governing Board in the session of August 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona number 174, dated September 9, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026_0_174_7782 (edict 7782, pages 1-11).
The process is governed by the specific bases of the call, which prevail over the general bases approved by agreement of the Local Governing Board on February 20, 2012, and published in the BOP of Girona number 44, dated March 2, 2012. The positions are assigned to group C, subgroup C2, with full-time employment and the Corporation’s ordinary schedule, from Monday to Friday, in morning and/or afternoon shifts.
Conditions and requirements for applicants
Applications must be submitted electronically via the City Council’s electronic office, within the catalog of human resources procedures and selection processes, within a period of 20 business days counting from the day after the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold Spanish nationality, without prejudice to the provisions of article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.
- Be permanent labor staff and certify a minimum of 2 years of active service in Local Administration in a position of the immediate lower level.
- Not have been separated from service by a final disciplinary resolution nor be disqualified.
- Possess a secondary education graduate degree, school graduate degree, technician degree from intermediate vocational training cycles or equivalent.
- Certify Catalan level B2 or be exempt according to Decree 161/2002.
The application must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae, certification of the alleged merits, a photocopy of the ID (DNI) and the qualification, and the receipt of payment of the fee of €25.60 established in the tax ordinances. Persons who certify income lower than the minimum interprofessional wage are exempt.
Phases of the selection process
The process consists of two phases. The competition phase evaluates merits, with a maximum of 6 points for services provided to the local Administration and up to 3 points for training courses related to the position. The examination phase includes three mandatory and eliminatory exercises:
- Catalan test (level B2), graded as pass or fail.
- Knowledge test: a multiple-choice questionnaire of 20 questions in 30 minutes, with a minimum of 12 points to pass.
- Practical test on the tasks of the position, in a maximum of 60 minutes, with a minimum of 5 points.
The Qualifying Tribunal will be chaired by the Head of Organization and Human Resources, with two members from public employees, a specialist technician from another administration, and a technical secretary from the City Council. The list of successful candidates may not exceed the number of positions called and will be submitted to the Mayor’s Office-Presidency with the hiring proposal.
Remuneration and job functions
The positions offer a Destination Supplement 14 of €5,341.98 gross per year and a Specific Supplement 80 of €10,969.39 gross per year for the year 2026. Job functions include in-person and telephone citizen service, the surveillance and custody of municipal buildings, access control, custody of keys, opening and closing using alarm systems, and small maintenance repairs in the fields of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, construction, and painting.
The edict, signed by the acting secretary David Reixach Saura on August 31, 2026, is published in full in the BOP of Girona, while an extract with the requirements demanded in article 6.2 of Royal Decree 896/1991 will be published in the DOGC. The call for applications will also be made public on the City Council’s electronic headquarters.
The call represents an opportunity for permanent labor personnel of the local Administration who wish to consolidate their internal promotion within the municipal workforce of Lloret de Mar, in a process that combines the assessment of merits with knowledge tests and practicals. Interested parties will have twenty business days from the publication in the DOGC to submit their application.
