Labora convoca 100.000 euros en ayudas a mujeres autónomas embarazadas o en adopción

Labora Valencian Employment and Training Service has announced the 2026 grants for the support program for the maintenance of self-employment for women in the Comunitat Valenciana. The call is formalized through the resolution of October 5, 2026, from the organization’s General Directorate, published in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana number 10468, of October 8, 2026, in section III of administrative acts (official reference: DOGV-C-2026-31508). The deadline for submitting applications closes, in any case, on October 20, 2026.

Purpose and regulatory framework

The aid aims to enable a self-employed woman who is pregnant or in the process of adoption to hire an unemployed person and transfer the necessary knowledge to maintain the activity during her maternity leave. The resolution is based on Order TES/1077/2023, of September 28, which establishes the regulatory bases for grants for active employment policy programs, and on article 72 of Royal Decree 818/2021, of September 28, regarding aid for reconciliation and co-responsibility.

The call is financed under chapter IV, sub-line code S045300010 of sub-program 322C01, Employment Promotion, with the Generalitat’s own funds. The estimated maximum global amount totals 100,000 euros, distributed approximately by province:

  • Alicante: 39,680 euros.
  • Castellón: 11,006 euros.
  • Valencia: 49,314 euros.

The allocation may be increased if any of the cases in article 11.2 of Decree 77/2019, of June 7, occur, provided that the availability of credit is declared and published in the DOGV.

Requirements and amounts

Self-employed women who, at the time of the eligible hiring, are pregnant or in the process of adoption may be beneficiaries. Partners of commercial companies, cooperatives, civil societies, and labor companies, as well as members of joint ventures (comunidades de bienes) and collaborating self-employed workers, are excluded.

The required conditions are:

  • The hiring must take place from January 1, 2026, and always before the maternity leave.
  • The hired person must have remained unemployed and registered as a job seeker with Labora until their hiring.
  • There must be no kinship by consanguinity or affinity up to the second degree, nor its equivalent in domestic partnerships.

The planned amounts are 1,500 euros for full-time temporary contracts of at least three months and 3,500 euros for those of at least six months. Both figures are increased by 500 euros if a person with a disability or a woman is hired, and part-time contracts of 30 hours per week or more are eligible for grants with a proportional reduction.

Processing and control

The application is submitted electronically via the electronic office of the Generalitat Valenciana, using an advanced electronic signature, through the procedure enabled on the Labora website. The period begins at 10:00 AM on the day following the publication of the summary of the resolution in the DOGV, and requests must be made after hiring and registration with the Social Security system.

The grant is processed under a competitive concurrence regime, with the time of submission of the complete documentation as the sole criterion. In the event of a tie, priority is given to people with disabilities, followed by the hiring of women—with priority for victims of gender-based violence—and, failing that, activity in municipalities targeted by the Municipal Cooperation Fund against depopulation. The period for resolution and notification is six months, with a negative administrative silence.

The aid is subject to the de minimis regime of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2023/2831, with a limit of 300,000 euros per company in any three-year period, and is compatible with other subsidies for the same purpose. The resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, bears the signature of the general director, Antonio Galvañ Diez.

Impact for self-employed women

The call offers direct and time-limited support to a group with specific difficulties in sustaining their activity during maternity or adoption. With an allocation of only 100,000 euros and a deadline expiring on October 20, 2026, the aid will be resolved in order of submission, meaning that speed in completing the file is decisive for interested self-employed women.
