La Universidad de Valladolid convoca un concurso específico para cubrir 18 puestos

The University of Valladolid (UVa) has announced a specific competition to fill 18 vacant job positions assigned to subgroups A1, A2, and C1 of the administrative and economic-financial area. The call is formalized through the Resolution of September 24, 2026, of the Rectorate of the University of Valladolid, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León no. 189, of September 29, 2026, with reference BOCYL-D-29092026-189-5. Applicants have a period of fifteen business days to submit their application.

The resolution is issued by virtue of the powers conferred by the Statutes of the University of Valladolid and in relation to Article 50.1 of Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the University System. The applicable framework includes Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, Law 7/2005, of May 24, on the Public Service of Castilla y León, and the Regulations for the provision through competition of job positions for the administrative and services civil servants of the UVa, approved by the Governing Council on March 1, 2013.

The document is signed by the Manager, Mariano Gredilla Fontaneda, by delegation of the Rector (R.R. of July 7, 2026). The process affects the technical, management, and administrative and services personnel (PTGAS), both civil servants and temporary staff of the institution.

The announced positions

Annex I of the rules details the 18 vacant positions, which have no holder or are not legally reserved, distributed in two blocks:

  • Seven positions of levels 24 and 25, corresponding to service heads and technical sections.
  • Eleven positions of level 22, linked to section heads and administrative responsibilities.

The destinations are divided between the Valladolid and Palencia campuses, assigned to the Management and services such as Accounting and Budgets, Research Support, Undergraduate Studies and Study Grants, Faculty Management, and Remuneration and Social Security, as well as the Doctoral School, the School of Industrial Engineering, the Buendía Center, and the Integrated Management Unit of Palencia.

The announced scales are those of Management Technicians/Economic-Financial Management Technicians (A1), University Management/Economic-Financial Management (A2), and Administrative (C1) of the University of Valladolid.

Deadline and submission of applications

Applications shall be addressed to the Rector within a period of fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the B.O.C. y L. Submission is electronic, via the Electronic Office of the UVa (https://sede.uva.es), through the procedure “Participation in PTGAS civil servant and labor competitions.”

Applicants must list the positions in successive order of preference and attach Annexes III to VI, in addition to a report in PDF format. Total withdrawal of the application may be requested within one month from the business day following the closing of the call.

Assessment of merits and commissions

The assessment consists of two phases. The first scores general merits up to a maximum of 75 points:

  • Seniority: up to 25 points.
  • Consolidated personal grade: up to 15 points.
  • Work developed in the last twelve years: up to 25 points.
  • Training courses: up to 7 points.
  • Academic qualification: up to 1 point.
  • Other merits and family reconciliation: up to 2 points.

The second phase assesses the specific merits of Annex I with a maximum of 25 points, of which 15 correspond to merits suitable for the position and 10 to the report, which may not exceed 30 pages. Those who do not reach 30% of the total score for specific merits will not be eligible for a position.

The award proposals will be the responsibility of two Assessment Commissions of five members each, whose composition appears in Annex II, and claims will be resolved by the Claims Commission.

Calendar and resolution

The Rectorate will publish the provisional lists of admitted and excluded applicants within one month, with ten business days for corrections. The maximum period to resolve the competition is eight months from the day following the closing of applications, with the effect of dismissal if no express resolution is issued.

The cessation from the original position will occur within three business days following the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León, and the Manager will set the date for taking office. An appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months.

The call opens an internal mobility route for the civil servant staff of the University of Valladolid and reinforces the institution’s administrative and economic-financial areas with 18 positions, in a context of renewing its management staff.
