La Pesga sets the annual salary of two councilors at 30,000 euros
Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary of the La Pesga City Council approved in its session on October 1, 2026, an increase in the remuneration of the two councilors who hold their positions under a 75% partial dedication regime, who will now receive 30,000 gross euros annually each. The agreement is published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0201, dated October 20, 2026, Section I - Local Administration, pages 23817 to 23819 (official reference: BOP-2026-4892), for general knowledge given its economic significance.
The publication is supported by article 75.5 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, which mandates the publicity of plenary agreements regarding the remuneration of members of the Corporation. The text bears the signature of the mayor, José David Domínguez Martín, and is dated in La Pesga on October 13, 2026.
Two 75% partial dedications
The agreement exclusively modifies the amount of the remuneration established in the third section of the plenary agreement of June 28, 2023, without altering the dedication regime approved at that time. The beneficiaries are:
- José María Iglesias Jiménez, Councilor for Works and Services, with an annual gross remuneration of 30,000.00 euros.
- Francisco Javier del Puerto Jiménez, Councilor for Citizen Services, with an identical annual gross remuneration of 30,000.00 euros.
Both maintain the 75% partial dedication, the obligation of effective presence at the City Council during office hours and public service, registration in the General Social Security Regime, and the assumption by the Corporation of the corresponding employer contributions.
Fourteen payments and effects from approval
The payment is distributed in fourteen annual payments: twelve ordinary monthly payments and two extraordinary payments in the months of June and December. The gross amount of each of the fourteen payments is set at 2,142.85 euros, with the express warning that the sum of the gross remunerations paid in the year may not exceed 30,000.00 euros.
The agreement establishes that the economic effects occur from the date of its adoption by the Plenary, that is, from October 1, 2026, and expressly rules out any prior retroactive effect.
Budgetary allocation and legal limits
The expenditure is charged to the budgetary application 912.100.00, “Governing Bodies. Remuneration of partial dedication councilors,” of the General Budget of the City Council for the 2026 fiscal year. The Social Security employer contributions are charged to application 912.160.00, “Social Security for political personnel,” or those corresponding in each fiscal year.
The city council states that the approved remuneration shall be subject, in any case, to the maximum limits established by the basic state regulations and by the General State Budget Law applicable in each financial year. Likewise, it empowers the Mayor’s Office to issue the acts and resolutions necessary for the execution of the agreement and orders its notification to the interested parties and its transfer to the Secretariat-Intervention, personnel, payroll, and labor management services.
Publication and means of appeal
The agreement, which exhausts the administrative route, is published in full in the provincial bulletin and on the electronic headquarters or municipal notice board. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Plenary within one month from the day following publication, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, or alternatively, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Cáceres within two months, according to article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.
The decision directly affects the current expenditure of the council of La Pesga in a year marked by municipal budgetary restraint, and it also arrives with a transparency component: any resident may consult the details of the amounts, the dedication, and the budgetary applications in the published text. The agreement also establishes a stable remuneration framework for two areas of municipal management—works and services and citizen services—which are precisely those with the greatest daily contact with the neighborhood.
