La Nucía creates a Local Police Inspector position

The La Nucía City Council has definitively approved the modification of its personnel staff, which creates one position for Local Police Inspector (Group A2) to be filled via internal promotion and amortizes four vacant laborer positions. The modification was definitively approved as the legally established period expired without any claims being filed.

Initial publication and definitive approval

The staff modification was initially published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante number 146, dated August 5, 2026, opening the mandatory public exhibition period. After this period passed without objections, the agreement is understood to be definitively approved and is thus made public “for general knowledge,” according to the announcement signed by the General Secretary of the La Nucía City Council.

The file is processed as a definitive agreement via administrative channels, which enables its immediate execution regarding personnel organization.

One inspector position via internal promotion

The second of the plenary agreements contemplates two simultaneous operations regarding the list of job positions:

• The amortization of four vacant Laborer positions, identified by numbers 2244, 2245, 2246, and 2247.
• These positions belong to the Special Administration Scale, Special Assignments Subscale, Group AP.
• The creation of one Local Police Inspector position, categorized under the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, Group A2.
• The new position will be filled via internal promotion, meaning with personnel already integrated into the municipal staff.

The operation does not increase the total number of staff, but rather converts four vacancies for labor personnel or special assignments into a middle-management position within the local police force.

Reclassification in Human Resources

The first agreement of the Plenary consists of the reclassification of an Administrative Assistant position (Subgroup C2) through its assignment to an Administrative position (Subgroup C1). The announcement justifies the measure based on “needs derived from the reorganization of the Human Resources Service” of the La Nucía City Council.

This is, therefore, an elevation of the classification group of an existing position, without the creation of new staffing.

Appeal periods

Against the agreement, which is definitive via administrative channels, interested parties may react under the following terms:

• Appeal within one month before the mayor’s office.
• Contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the contentious-administrative courts of Alicante.
• Both periods are counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante.
• This is without prejudice to the fact that interested parties may file any appeals they deem appropriate for the defense of their rights.
