The Board assigns destinations to those who passed the Laboratory Assistant exam

The General Directorate of the Civil Service of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha has assigned a destination to the person who passed the selection process for the permanent filling, via the open access system, of the professional category of Laboratory Assistant for labor personnel. The decision is formalized through the Resolution of 10/06/2026, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM) no. 196, dated October 13, 2026, with official reference 2026/7281. The assigned position is located in Cuenca, at the C.I.A.F. Albaladejito workplace.

The origin of the selection process

The process began with the Resolution of the General Directorate of the Civil Service of December 5, 2024, published in DOCM no. 244 on December 18, 2024, which called for tests to fill Laboratory Assistant positions through both internal promotion and open access.

Upon completion of the selection process, the hiring proposal for the successful candidates was published, and destinations were offered via the Resolution of September 25, 2026, disseminated in DOCM no. 189 on October 1, 2026. Following the deadline for submitting the required documentation and the assignment of the offered positions, the General Directorate now applies the provisions of the eleventh and twelfth bases of the respective calls.

The assigned destination

Annex I of the resolution details the assigned position, with the following data:

• Assigned person: Patricia Redondo Muñoz, identified in the annex with her partially protected ID (***9249**).
• Position code: 02009.
• Title: Laboratory Assistant.
• Group: IV.
• Working day type: ordinary working day.
• Locality and province: Cuenca.
• Workplace: C.I.A.F. Albaladejito.
• Attached Department: I.R.I.A.F.

The resolution establishes that, once the destination has been assigned, the General Directorate of the Civil Service will formalize the corresponding contract.

Deadlines, contract, and probationary period

The text sets a strict calendar for the effective incorporation:

• The signing of the contract and the assumption of the position must take place within one month from the day following the publication of the resolution in the DOCM.
• The deadline is non-extendable, except in cases of force majeure duly justified and proven by the interested party within the possession period.
• The signing will take place at the Personnel Department (Jefatura de Personal) of the body or agency to which the position is assigned.
• At that time, the declaration provided for in Article 13 of Royal Decree 598/1985, of April 30, or, where applicable, the request for compatibility under Article 10 of Law 53/1984, of December 26, on Incompatibilities of Personnel in the Service of Public Administrations, must be presented.
• If the deadline expires without the person assuming the position, the successful candidate will lose their rights and any link with the regional Administration derived from the selection process will be terminated.

Once the position has been assumed, the contracted personnel must complete a probationary period of one month for groups III and IV and fifteen days for group V. This period will not be required if the person has already performed the same functions within the Administration of the Junta, under any contractual modality, for a period equal to or greater than that generally required. Those who satisfactorily pass the probation will acquire the status of permanent labor personnel in that category.

The resolution also provides that, if the worker already holds the status of permanent labor personnel in another professional category, obtaining the new position will result in a declaration of leave of absence due to incompatibility in the category not chosen.

Appeal and effects

A claim may be filed against the resolution before the Social Jurisdiction, in accordance with Article 59 of the Recast Text of the Workers’ Statute Law, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of October 23. Optionally, a prior appeal for reversal may also be filed before the General Directorate of the Civil Service within one month, according to Articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. The document is signed in Toledo, on October 6, 2026, by the Director General of the Civil Service, José Narváez Vila, by delegation of the Councilor for Finance, Public Administrations, and Digital Transformation.

The filling of this vacancy concludes a selection process opened in December 2024 and completes the incorporation of permanent personnel into the Junta’s labor workforce in the category of Laboratory Assistant. For the candidates and interim personnel of the region, the resolution confirms that the Cuenca position is definitively filled and that the incorporation schedule no longer allows for delays.
