Por FactBox Admin

The Local Governing Board of the EMD of Jesús has approved, by agreement of September 9, 2026, the call for a selection process via competitive examination and open merit list to fill one position for an administrative assistant, subgroup C2, under a labor regime and relief contract modality. The announcement and the regulatory bases are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on September 16, 2026, with official reference CVE 2026-08551 and the signature of the president of the entity, Víctor Ferrando i Sabaté.
The position is offered as permanent labor personnel, full-time with 35 weekly hours from Monday to Friday, with base salary C2 and destination supplement 16. The relief contract is linked to the partial early retirement of a worker from the EMD of Jesús, and the workplace will be the same as that occupied by the partially retired worker, depending on the needs of the service.
Deadline and submission of applications
Interested persons have 20 calendar days starting from the day after the publication of the announcement in the BOPT to submit the application, which will also be disseminated on the electronic notice board and the entity’s website. The application can be processed preferably electronically through the EMD registry, or in person at the General Registry of the EMD of Jesús, at Plaça Pati de la Immaculada, no. 1, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 hours.
- The application must be accompanied by a copy of the DNI/NIE, Catalan (C1) and Spanish (B2) certificates if applicable, a list of merits, a curriculum vitae, and proof of payment of the fee.
- The examination fee is set at 20.00 euros, with an exemption for job seekers under the conditions provided in the bases.
- Requirements must be met by the expiration date of the deadline and maintained until the formalization of the contract.
Requirements and development of the process
To participate, one must have Spanish nationality or that of an EU member state (or the scope of application of international treaties), possess functional capacity, not have been separated from the service of any administration, and hold a secondary education graduate degree (ESO), school graduate degree, first-level vocational training (FP), or a medium-level vocational training cycle. A Catalan proficiency level certificate (C1) is also required and, for those who do not have Spanish nationality, an intermediate level of Spanish (B2).
The process is developed in three phases:
- Opposition phase (up to 60 points): official language knowledge test, a theoretical exam of 50 multiple-choice questions (maximum 30 points), and two practical cases (up to 15 points each).
- Competition phase (up to 30 points): assessment of professional experience (up to 20 points) and training (up to 10 points).
- Personal interview (up to 10 points): evaluation of competency skills such as planning, initiative, analytical thinking, empathy, teamwork, and flexibility.
Tribunal, job bank, and appeals
The qualifying tribunal will be collegiate, with the secretary of the EMD of Jesús as the presiding officer, permanent labor staff of the entity as members and secretary, and a representative from the Escola d’Administració Pública de Catalunya. The nominal designation of the members will be made in the resolution approving the list of admitted and excluded persons.
A job bank will be established with the persons who pass the opposition phase without obtaining a position to cover future needs of the same professional profile, in the event of voluntary leave, resignation, failure to pass the probationary period, or other intervening situations. The contract provides for a probationary period of 3 months.
An administrative contentious appeal may be filed against the call for applications within a period of 2 months before the Administrative Contentious Court of Tarragona, or, alternatively and optionally, a request for reversal within a period of 1 month before the president of the EMD of Jesús.
The call for applications represents an opportunity for access to local public employment for persons interested in the administrative profile, in a process governed by the principles of equality, merit, and capacity. The establishment of the job bank expands the hiring possibilities beyond the initial position, reinforcing the capacity of the EMD of Jesús to guarantee the continuity of the administrative service.
