Juigalpa orders edict against two defendants for nullity of public instrument

The Oral Civil District Court of Juigalpa, Central Jurisdiction, has issued a summons by edict to Reynalda del Carmen Angulo Fonseca and José Celedonio Rivera to appear in the public instrument nullity proceedings brought against them. The resolution, issued on August 26, 2026, by Judge Alba Marina Vargas Moraga, is published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 173 on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in the Judicial Section, under case number 000631-ORC1-2026-CO.

The lawsuit was filed by attorney María Lourdes Rivera Angulo, appearing in her capacity as the general judicial proxy for Celina del Carmen López Rivera, married name Celina Castellanos. Since the defendants’ addresses are unknown, the court granted the party’s petition and proceeded with the summons by edict, in accordance with the provisions of Article 152 of the Civil Procedure Code of Nicaragua (CPCN).

Both appear as defendants in the public instrument nullity process and did not present a known address in the case file, which is why the judicial authority ordered the notification of the resolution via edicts.
