Grazalema opens a job bank for cleaners in Benamahoma
Por FactBox Admin

The Grazalema City Council has opened the application period for the creation of a job bank for positions in the Public Building Cleaning and Maintenance Service (Cleaner), intended to cover temporary staffing needs in the town of Benamahoma. The call and the regulatory bases were approved by the Local Government Board in a session held on September 16, 2026, and are published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz no. 197, dated October 13, 2026, with the official reference No. 323.385. The application period is twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement.
The process will be resolved through a selective system of merit-based competition, and the selected individuals will join as interim civil servants via appointment or as contractual staff with an employment contract. The job bank will only be used when the Local Entity cannot provide the necessary services with the existing staff; it will have an indefinite duration until the City Council decides to dissolve it or create a new one, and its establishment entails the automatic repeal of the existing job bank. The announcement is signed by the Mayor-President, Carlos Javier García Ramírez, dated September 22, 2026.
The Benamahoma call is added to the one published a week earlier for the town of Grazalema in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz no. 194, dated October 8, 2026 (reference No. 320.787). The bases warn that no applicant may be part of both job banks: anyone wishing to join the Benamahoma bank must submit an application to only one of them.

The offered position falls under Group/Subgroup AP, with a destination supplement of 10 and a specific supplement of €159.51 (€2,233.14 in fourteen payments). Its functions are those generally provided for in the Job Position Relationship (RPT) of the Grazalema City Council for this position and in the applicable regulations.
The admission requirements are:
- To hold Spanish nationality, without prejudice to the provisions of Article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30.
- Not to have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from the service of any Public Administration, nor to be under absolute or special disqualification.
- To possess the functional capacity to perform the tasks of the position.

- To submit Annexes I and II, duly completed and signed.
Applications, tribunal, and scale
Applications, addressed to the Mayor’s Office, shall be submitted in accordance with Article 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. Along with the application form (Annex I) and the self-assessment of merits (Annex II), applicants must provide a copy of their ID (DNI) and the supporting documentation for the claimed merits, organized and numbered.
The qualifying board will consist of a president, who must be a career civil servant or permanent contractual staff; four members with the same status; and a secretary who is a career civil servant. Personnel appointed or designated politically, interim civil servants, and temporary staff may not be part of the board.
The valuation of merits is distributed as follows:
- Professional merits: 0.10 points per full month of service in Public Administration and 0.05 points per month in the private sector, up to a maximum of 10 points.
- Training merits: from 0.10 points for courses of 5 to 20 hours up to 2 points for courses of 201 hours or more, up to a maximum of 5 points.
Lists, tie-breaks, and call-ups
Once the deadline has expired, the Mayor’s Office will issue a resolution within a maximum period of one month with the provisional list of admitted and excluded persons, which will be published on the Notice Board of the municipal Electronic Office (https://grazalema.sedelectronica.es/info.0). Ten business days will be granted for corrections and five business days for appeals against the provisional list. The final list will be published in order of score.
In the event of a tie, the following order will be observed: the highest score for working in the Administration, the highest score in professional merits, the highest score in occupational risk prevention training, and finally, a public draw. Once the pool is established, the call-up will follow the established order, and a maximum of three calls will be made throughout the day, one hour apart; if contact cannot be established or the position is not accepted, it will be understood that the person waives their right and will move to the last place.
An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the rules within one month, or directly, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed within two months before the corresponding Contentious-Administrative Court.
The call for applications comes at a time of employment demand in the Sierra de Cádiz and offers residents of Benamahoma and its surroundings a way to access the municipal staff through a regulated procedure based on merits, without eliminatory tests and with a scale that prioritizes previous experience in the Administration.
