EMACSA announces three permanent technical assistant positions in the operations area
Por FactBox Admin

The Municipal Water Company of Córdoba, S. A. (EMACSA) has announced a public selection process to fill three technical assistant positions in the operations area through a competitive examination and open access system. The call and its regulatory bases are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 212, dated November 3, 2026, within the Other Entities section, under the official reference BOP-A-2026-3656. Interested parties may submit their application until November 30, 2026, inclusive.
The positions are classified under professional group 4 A, technical functional area, of the current EMACSA Collective Agreement and are permanent in nature: selected individuals will be hired under an indefinite employment contract. The applicable framework is the collective agreement itself—published in the BOP of Córdoba number 239, dated December 16, 2022—, the EMACSA Competition Regulations in its external promotion modality, and other agreements signed to that effect.
This call is added to the one published weeks earlier in the same provincial gazette for two technical assistant positions in logistics (BOP-A-2026-3588, dated October 26, 2026), confirming the opening of stable employment at the municipal water company to applicants from across the province.
Requirements and registration deadline
Those who, on the date of publication of the call and until the formalization of the contract, prove compliance with the conditions set by the bases may apply for the positions:
- Intermediate vocational training qualification (LOGSE or LOE) or level 2 professional certificate in the families of Building and Civil Works, Electricity and Electronics, Energy and Water, Mechanical Manufacturing, or Installation and Maintenance; High School diploma (Bachillerato) or higher education qualifications in the same branches are also accepted.
- Spanish nationality, nationality of a European Union member state, or a valid authorization to work in Spain.
- A valid Class B driver’s license.
- Not having been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from any public administration or public company, being at least 16 years old, and possessing the functional capacity for the position.
Registration must be electronic, via the form enabled on the EMACSA website (emacsa.es/ofertas-de-empleo), opening the day after publication in the BOP and closing on November 30, 2026. Those with a recognized disability degree equal to or greater than 33% may request adaptations of time and means for the tests.
A 100-point process with two eliminatory exercises
The process is scored out of a maximum of 100 points, with a weight of 70% for the examination phase and 30% for the merit phase. The examination consists of two eliminatory exercises held in the same session:
- First theoretical exercise: a multiple-choice questionnaire of between 75 and 100 questions with four alternative answers, with a maximum duration of 120 minutes and a maximum score of 35 points.
- Second practical exercise: resolution of cases linked to the functions of the position, also with a maximum of 35 points.
Each exercise requires a minimum of 14.00 points, and the competitive examination phase requires 35 points in total to proceed to the merit competition, which a maximum of 30 candidates will access. The merit competition values up to 30 points distributed among professional experience —0.10 points per full month, with up to 6 points outside of EMACSA and 4 inside—, qualifications, non-regulated training, and having passed previous calls for the same position within the company.
Tribunal and planned calendar
The Tribunal is constituted in accordance with article 23 of the collective agreement and is composed of the president Carmen Castillo Pérez de Siles, the company representatives Diego José Galán López, José Luís Vázquez Rodríguez, and Antonio Luís Serrano Serrano, the Works Council representatives Andrés Gálvez Valero, Rafael David González Muriel, and Diego Serrano Aguado, and the secretary Sonia García Lorente.
The tests will not begin before 45 calendar days from the publication of the call, and at least 5 business days must elapse between the communication of the date, place, and time and their execution. The lists of admitted and excluded candidates will be published on the company’s website, with five calendar days for appeals following the provisional list.
Incorporation will not be immediate for all selected individuals: the three positions will be filled progressively according to the organizational needs of the company and within a maximum period ending on December 31, 2028. The rules also provide that, when the hiring is linked to a partial retirement, the contract will be initially formalized as an indefinite relief contract, and that the company may establish a list to meet temporary hiring needs with those who pass the examination without obtaining a position.
The announcement is signed in Córdoba on November 2, 2026, by the managing director, María Teresa Carrillo.
