El SOIB suma 400.000 euros més a la convocatòria d'ocupació femenina

The Employment Service of the Balearic Islands (SOIB) is expanding for a second time the credit for the grant call «SOIB Employment Opportunities for Women 2025-2028», with an additional 400,000 euros for the 2026 annual budget. The measure is signed by the Minister of Labor, Public Service and Social Dialogue and president of the SOIB, Catalina Teresa Cabrer González, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) no. 133, of October 20, 2026, with official reference 10342. With this contribution, the global allocation of the call rises to 8,200,000 euros.

The call was approved by the Resolution of the Minister of Enterprise, Employment and Energy of December 12, 2024 (BOIB no. 165, of December 17, 2024), with an initial amount of 6,000,000 euros distributed as 2,000,000 euros for each of the years 2025, 2026, and 2027. Its objective is to promote the hiring of women victims of gender-based violence in labor insertion projects.

The credit allocated for 2025 proved insufficient to meet the requests received, so that in November 2025, a first expansion of 1,800,000 euros was approved (Resolution of November 21, 2025, BOIB no. 156, of November 25), which brought the total to 7,800,000 euros. Now, the SOIB has received from the Balearic Institute for Women (IBDONA), for execution, 400,000 euros coming from the Sectoral Conference on Equality, which can be allocated to this line of aid.

Targeted Equality Funds and favorable report

The expansion is charged to the targeted fund 25090, coming from the Sectoral Conference on Equality, within cost center 76101, subprogram 322D05, chapter 4. The resolution has the favorable report of the General Comptroller and is based on the justifying report of the director of the SOIB of September 7, 2026, which certifies the budgetary availability and the forecast of new requests until the end of the year.

The call is provided for in the CAIB Strategic Grant Plan 2024-2026, approved by the Agreement of the Governing Council of April 19, 2024 (BOIB no. 52, of April 20, 2024), in Line III.4.27 «Aid to finance the hiring of women who are part of priority care groups». It is governed by the Order of the Minister of Economic Model, Tourism and Labor of May 17, 2023 (BOIB no. 67, of May 20, 2023) and by the SOIB Statutes approved by Decree 22/2020, of July 24 (BOIB no. 131, of July 25).

Distribution of credit by annual budgets

The resulting distribution of the call is as follows:

  • Year 2025: 3,800,000 euros, with 1,800,000 euros from fund 25021 (Employment and Labor Affairs), 1,000,000 euros from fund 19213 (ESF+), 77,617.11 euros from fund 23090, 906,061.20 euros from fund 24090 and 16,321.69 euros from fund 25090, the latter two being for Equality.
  • Year 2026: 2,400,000 euros, with 1,000,000 euros from fund 26021 (Employment and Labor Affairs), 1,000,000 euros from fund 19213 (ESF+) and 400,000 euros from fund 25090 (Equality).
  • Year 2027: 2,000,000 euros, with 1,000,000 euros from fund 27021 (Employment and Labor Affairs) and 1,000,000 euros from fund 19213 (ESF+).

Deadline open until September 2027

The resolution maintains the application submission deadline without changes, which remains open until September 30, 2027, or until the credit is exhausted, whichever occurs first. In the latter case, the SOIB will make it public by publishing the resolution informing of the exhaustion of the available credit in the BOIB.

The regulation orders the communication of the modification to the National Grants Database and establishes that it takes effect the day after its publication in the BOIB. Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Minister of Labor, Public Service and Social Dialogue within one month, or an administrative contentious appeal may be filed before the Administrative Contentious Court within two months.

The extension allows the SOIB to attend to more applications from entities that hire women in situations of vulnerability and facilitates, according to the same resolution, “the hiring of as many women as possible” before the end of the year, charged to state Equality funds that would otherwise remain unexecuted.
