The SAS approves the final lists for Occupational Health Specialist Nurses
Por FactBox Admin

The General Directorate of Personnel of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) has approved the final lists of candidates who have passed the competitive examination (concurso-oposición), via the open access and internal promotion systems, for Specialist Nurse in Occupational Health Nursing, convened as part of the public employment offers for 2022, 2023, and 2024. The decision is formalized in the Resolution of October 23, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) no. 209, of October 28, 2026, in section 2.1 of Appointments, situations and incidents, with the official reference 00345370. The text is signed by the General Director of Personnel of the SAS, José Luis Sedeño Ferrer, and follows the resolution of the appeals submitted against the provisional lists by the qualifying tribunals.
What the resolution approves
The resolution structures its decision into six sections that organize the entire result of the selection process:
- First: to approve, upon the proposal of the qualifying tribunals, the final lists of those who have passed the competitive examination, published in order of score.
- Second: to approve the final lists of candidates who have not passed the process, including the score for each section of the merits scale, the examination phase, and the total.
- Third: to approve the final lists of persons excluded during the competition phase, ordered alphabetically and indicating the cause.
- Fourth: to publish the list of causes for exclusion as an annex.
Each list details the score assigned by the tribunal in each section of the merits scale, the total score of the competition phase, the score obtained in the examination phase, and the total score of the competitive examination. In the event of a tie, the order of precedence set out in general rule 10 is applied, with an express indication of the tie-breaking criteria used.
Regulatory framework and background
The process derives from the Resolution of January 22, 2025, of the General Directorate of Personnel of the SAS (BOJA no. 17, of January 27), which approved the general rules for the selection processes of statutory personnel, and from the Resolution of February 12, 2025 (BOJA no. 32, of February 17), which convened the competitive examination for vacant basic positions for Nurse, Specialist Nurse in Family and Community Nursing, Specialist Nurse in Obstetric-Gynecological Nursing (Midwife), Specialist Nurse in Mental Health Nursing, and Specialist Nurse in Occupational Health Nursing.
The positions originate from the public employment offers approved by Decree 567/2022, of December 27 (BOJA no. 249, of December 30), Decree 287/2023, of December 27 (BOJA extr. no. 27, of December 27), and Decree 274/2024, of December 26 (BOJA no. 252, of December 31). The resolution is issued under Decree 136/2001, of June 12 (BOJA no. 80, of July 14), modified by Decree 176/2006, of October 10, and the organic structure established by Decree 189/2026, of July 30.
The publication coincides with another movement in the same category: BOJA no. 197, of October 9, 2026, reported the provisional resolution of the transfer competition for the provision of vacant basic positions for Specialist Nurse in Occupational Health Nursing.
Publication, positions, and appeals
The final lists will be displayed to the public on the physical or virtual notice boards of the SAS Central Services and the Territorial Delegations of the Ministry of Health and Consumption, as well as on the SAS website (www.juntadeandalucia.es/servicioandaluzdesalud), starting from the day of publication in the BOJA.
- The list of offered positions according to their distribution by destination centers will be approved by a subsequent resolution from the same General Directorate, which will be published in the BOJA to coordinate it with the voluntary mobility processes via transfer competition.
- Optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the same body: one-month deadline.
- Contentious-administrative appeal: two-month deadline, which cannot be filed until the appeal for reversal is expressly or presumptively resolved.
- Both deadlines are counted from the day following the publication in the BOJA; the resolution exhausts the administrative route.
Causes for exclusion
The annex of the resolution contains the codes identifying the reason for exclusion from the competition phase, including:
- E03, withdrawal.
- E04, having recognized total disability for the functions of the category or absolute disability.
- E09, exceeding the retirement age.
- E38, holding the status of permanent staff in the category and legal regime.
- E41, failure to certify the self-assessment of merits required in the rules within the deadline.
The list also includes cases of inaccuracies or falsehoods in the application, lack of accreditation of qualification, nationality, or driver’s license, and the lack of a radioactive installations operator license from the Nuclear Safety Council.
The publication of these final lists closes the competitive examination phase and places the candidates before the decisive step: the upcoming resolution for the allocation of posts. For professionals in a specialty with limited training opportunities, the unlocking of these positions represents the direct route to becoming permanent statutory staff within the SAS, while those excluded now know with certainty the reason and the deadline to challenge it.
