Por FactBox Admin

The General Directorate of Labor of the Junta de Extremadura has ordered the registration and publication of the Collective Agreement for the Iron and Steel Industries of Cáceres and its province 2026-2027, signed on September 25, 2026, by the employers’ associations and the sector’s trade unions. The resolution, signed by the general director Pilar Bueno Espada on October 14, is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 202, dated October 20, 2026, with the official reference 2026062622.
The text reaches the DOE once registered in the Registry of Collective Agreements and Labor Accords of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, in accordance with Article 90 of the Workers’ Statute and Decree 187/2018, of November 13. The agreement, with code 10000245011982, was signed by the Federación Empresarial Cacereña and the Federación Empresarial Placentina, on one side, and by the Federation of Industry, Construction and Agro of UGT (UGT-FICA) and the Industry Federation of Comisiones Obreras, on the other. Pedro Rosado Alcántara serves as the secretary of the agreement.
As it is signed by the organizations with representation in the province, the agreement has general efficacy throughout the scope of Cáceres, which covers metallurgy, iron and steel, automotive, shipbuilding, aerospace industry, robotics, telecommunications, electrical installations, metal carpentry, vehicle maintenance and ITV (technical inspections), among other activities. The parties also adhere to the IV State Collective Agreement for Industry, New Technologies and Services of the Metal Sector (BOE 12/01/2022), which acts as a supplementary regulation.
3% Increase in 2026 and Review Linked to CPI in 2027
Article 8 establishes a 3% increase in all concepts for 2026, retroactive from January 1, 2026. For 2027, the actual CPI plus 0.25% is agreed upon, with a maximum increase of 4% and an advance payment of 3% that operates as a minimum increase.
Back payments will be paid in the three payrolls accrued after publication in the DOE. The text also corrects a historical error in the tables, due to which the foreman earned less than the second-class official: in 2027, their annual salary is set at 20,650 euros.
The validity is for two years, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027, regardless of the publication date, and with automatic termination on January 1, 2028.
Salary Tables: from 18,053 to 23,774 euros annually
Annex I contains the annual salaries by category and professional group, with the final amount for 2025, that of 2026, and the provisional forecast for 2027:

Overtime will be paid with a minimum increase of 75% over the ordinary hourly wage, and night shifts are remunerated with an additional 20% over the agreement salary plus seniority.
1,760-hour workday, 31 vacation days, and mandatory insurance
The weekly workday is set at 40 hours from Monday to Friday, with an annual total of 1,760 hours. Vacations are 31 calendar days, with supplements of up to 20% of the monthly agreement salary for those who take them in January or December.
Three extraordinary payments are maintained—July, December, and profit sharing—of 30 days of base salary plus seniority, paid on July 15, December 15, and March 15, as well as 5% five-year seniority bonuses.
Within 45 days of publication, companies must arrange insurance covering death by occupational accident or professional illness and absolute permanent disability for a capital of 27,100 euros, valid until December 31, 2027.
The agreement regulates the labor conditions of the entire metal industrial fabric of the province of Cáceres for two years and has retroactive effects, meaning companies must settle arrears in the three payrolls following its publication. The correction of the foreman’s salary and the review clause linked to the CPI are the points of greatest economic impact for the sector’s workforce.
