The call for applications is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba no. 204, of October 21, 2026, in section VIII (Other Entities), with the official reference BOP-A-2026-3546.
The agreement was adopted in an ordinary session of the Governing Council, by ordinary vote and unanimously by its members, under the competence attributed by article 10 j) of the organization’s Statutes, as stated in the draft minutes still pending approval. The announced positions were already listed in the 2026 Public Employment Offer, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba no. 202, of October 19, 2026.
Twenty-five positions across three categories
The distribution of positions, all assigned to the labor staff of the IPBS, is as follows:
- Psychologist (group A1): 5 open-access positions, numbers 158, 159, 160, 161, and 175. Qualification: Degree or Licentiate in Psychology.
- Social Worker (group A2): 14 positions, of which 13 are open-access (numbers 162 to 174) and 1 is reserved for the general disability quota (number 124). Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Social Work.

Positions reserved for the disability quota require accreditation of a degree of 33% or higher. Those that remain vacant will be accumulated in subsequent offers up to a limit of 10% of the unfilled positions, and the remainder will be added to the general open-access quota.
Seventy points for the examination and thirty for the merit phase
The selection process grants a maximum of 70 points to the examination phase (oposición) and 30 to the merit phase (concurso), ensuring that the assessment of merits cannot exceed 30% of the total and guaranteeing the preponderance of the principle of merit and capacity. The examination consists of two eliminatory exercises held on the same day:
- First exercise: a multiple-choice questionnaire with four alternative answers and only one valid, consisting of 90 questions for Psychologist, 80 for Social Worker, and 50 for Administrative Assistant, plus 8 reserve questions. It is valued at 35 points and requires at least 50% correct answers.
- Second exercise: written resolution of one or several practical cases, with a maximum of 35 points and a minimum of 20 to pass.
In the competition phase, professional experience is valued (up to 18 points, at a rate of 0.09 points per month in Public Administrations and 0.06 in private companies), training (up to 10 points), and the previous passing of selective tests in the same category (up to 2 points).
Twenty business days to submit the application
Applications shall be addressed to the Presidency of the IPBS within twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official State Gazette. Submission can be done electronically via the electronic office https://sede.eprinsa.es/ipbscordoba or in person at the Registration Office of the IPBS, at calle Buen Pastor, 12, Córdoba.
Persons with a disability equal to or greater than 33%, job seekers under the terms provided in the rules, members of special category large families, and victims of terrorism shall be exempt from the payment of the examination fee; general category large families will receive a 50% discount. The first exercise may not begin until one month has passed since the end of the application period.
Selection Board and employment pool
The Selection Board will be chaired by a person designated by the Presidency of the IPBS, and will include the Secretary of the Provincial Council of Córdoba or their delegate, and three members designated by the Presidency, with a predominantly technical composition and a tendency toward parity between women and men. Additionally, an employment pool will be established to cover temporary needs in accordance with the Regulations of the Provincial Council of Córdoba of July 29, 2015.
The rules are final in the administrative process, and an optional appeal for reversal may be filed against them within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Courts of Córdoba within two months.
The call opens a relevant path for labor stabilization for the social sector of the province, where the categories of psychology and social work support a large part of the intervention of the Community Social Services. Interested candidates should stay alert to the publication in the Official State Gazette, which activates the application period countdown, and to the resolution of admitted and excluded persons which will set the date for the first exercise.
