El consorcio de bomberos de Badajoz se adhiere al reglamento de teletrabajo

The Board of Directors of the Provincial Consortium for Fire Prevention and Extinction (CPEI) of Badajoz approved on September 25, 2026, its adherence to the Regulations governing the provision of services under a teleworking regime in the Provincial Council of Badajoz and its dependent entities. The agreement is made public in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 197, dated October 14, 2026, via announcement 4047/2026, within the Local Administration, Consortia section.

The text recalls that the Board of Directors for Fire Prevention and Extinction of the Province of Badajoz adopted the agreement in an ordinary session, and that the reference regulation was already in force: the Regulations were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 130, announcement 2758/2026, dated July 10, 2026. With this adherence, the fire consortium will now be governed by the same teleworking framework as the provincial institution and its dependent entities.

A four-point agreement

The published agreement is structured into four sections:

  • First. To approve the adherence of the CPEI to the teleworking Regulations of the Provincial Council of Badajoz and its dependent entities, published in the BOP number 130, announcement 2758/2026, dated July 10, 2026.
  • Second. To declare that the adherence shall apply to the CPEI personnel included within the subjective scope provided for in the aforementioned Regulations, subject to the requirements, conditions, and procedure established therein.
  • Third. To forward the agreement to the Delegation of Public Employees, Occupational Health and Safety of the Provincial Council of Badajoz, for the appropriate purposes.
  • Fourth. To publish the adherence agreement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz for general knowledge.

Scope for the consortium staff

The adherence does not create its own regime or specific regulations for the consortium: it refers entirely to the Regulations of the Provincial Council of Badajoz, such that CPEI personnel who fall within its subjective scope will be subject to the same requirements, conditions, and procedure as the rest of the workers of the provincial institution and its dependent entities.

The announcement does not detail the number of affected personnel nor the percentages of remote working hours, matters which are referred to the content of the Regulations approved in July. Nor does it establish an implementation calendar different from the one already provided for in the Provincial Council’s regulation.

The measure adds to a recent trend in the province: the Badajoz City Council definitively approved its own Regulations for the provision of services under a teleworking regime, an agreement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 163, dated August 26, 2026, announcement 3379/2026, following the public exhibition period without claims.

Signature and effects

The announcement is digitally signed by the President of the CPEI, by delegation, the Vice President of the CPEI, Andrés Hernáiz de Sixte, by virtue of the decree of October 29, 2025, published in the BOP number 206, supplement I, of the same date. The publication in the provincial gazette fulfills the fourth section of the agreement and opens the effective application of the teleworking regime to the consortium’s personnel.

The CPEI is the entity that provides fire prevention and extinguishing services in the province of Badajoz, with its own operational and administrative staff. The extension of teleworking to its workforce implies reviewing the organization of shifts and physical presence at the stations, as the Regulations only apply to the positions included in its subjective scope.
