El Ayuntamiento de Soria formaliza nueve contratos fijos tras la estabilización

The Soria City Council has formalized the hiring of nine people as permanent contractual staff: six administrative assistants and three lifeguard-maintenance workers. The agreement was adopted unanimously by the Local Government Board in its session on August 14, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 118, dated October 14, 2026, page 3474, with the official reference BOPSO-118-14102026.

The origin of the process

The resolution stems from the conclusion of the selection process for the extraordinary stabilization processes via the competition system, processed under the sixth and eighth additional provisions of Law 20/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for the reduction of temporary employment in the public sector.

The procedure is governed by two previously published internal regulations:

  • The general bases for the stabilization processes of the Soria City Council, published in the BOP number 149, of December 30, 2022.
  • The specific bases of the process, published in the BOP number 116, of October 7, 2024.

According to the official text, the candidates proposed by the Evaluation Tribunal provided the required documentation within the deadline and meet the requirements of the call, in accordance with the ninth base of the general criteria.

Competence and procedure

The competent body to resolve is the Local Government Board, acting by delegation of powers carried out by the mayor on June 22, 2023. The agreement was adopted unanimously and the document appears signed in Soria on October 8, 2026, by the mayor, Javier Antón Cacho.

The awarded positions

The nine positions are divided into two professional categories:

  • Six administrative assistants: María del Carmen Rupérez Romera, Raquel Blasco Garijo, Laura García Garcés, Susana Gómez Puente, María Rebeca Sosa Gil, and Ana María Moreno Ortega.
  • Three lifeguard-maintenance workers: Ana Gloria Martínez Lorenzo, Rebeca González Lozano, and Héctor Ciria Herrero.

The official publication identifies each person by their full name and their partially protected national identity document, in accordance with the announcement model used by the Soria City Council in these procedures.

Impact

The resolution closes the appointment and hiring phase for these nine positions and converts employment relationships that were previously temporary into permanent ones, in application of the mandate to reduce temporality of Law 20/2021. For the applicants, the announcement confirms the final awarding of the positions; for the municipal services, it consolidates the staff in two sensitive areas such as general administration and the maintenance of sports facilities and swimming pools.
