Tests, selective course, and job bank
The Technical Selection Body will consist of five members: the presidency held by the head of the Local Police force, the corporation’s secretary, two members proposed by the Department competent in emergency and interior affairs, and one member from any Local Police force in the Valencian Community.
The process includes a physical aptitude test (60-meter sprint, medicine ball throw, 1,000-meter run, and 50-meter freestyle swimming), a psychotechnical test—a 50-question test with four alternative answers and a duration of one hour—a practical exercise, and a medical examination. The test and the practical exercise are graded from 0 to 50 points, with a minimum of 25 required to pass.
Those who pass the competitive examination will join the selective course of the Valencian Institute of Public Safety and Emergencies (IVASPE), with a twelve-week internship period in Daya Nueva, and will be appointed as trainee civil servants. Applicants who pass the process without obtaining a position will be integrated into a temporary job bank, with rotation across all positions and a minimum period of three months per call.
The provisional list of admitted and excluded candidates will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante, with ten business days for corrections, and the first exercise will be held no sooner than fifteen business days after the final list.
The call for applications reinforces the Local Police staff of Daya Nueva and opens a stable path for public employment in a municipality of the Vega Baja, in addition to creating a pool that will allow for covering substitutions and temporary vacancies without resorting to extraordinary processes. For the candidates, the period of twenty business days from the announcement in the BOE marks a brief window that requires having the documentation and the fee payment ready.
