Cáceres creates four staff positions and amortizes five others
Por FactBox Admin

The Cáceres City Council has initially approved the modification of its personnel staff for the 2026 fiscal year, with the creation of four new positions and the amortization of five others. This was done by the municipal Plenary in the session of October 15, 2026, through Agreement No. 580, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres No. 0204, dated October 23, 2026, with reference BOP-2026-4986.
Four newly created positions
The agreement details the creation of four positions, three of them within the civil service staff and one within the contractual staff:
- One position for General Administration Technician, from the General Administration Scale, Technical Subscale, Subgroup A1, within the civil service staff.
- One position for General Administration Management Technician, from the General Administration Scale, Management Subscale, Subgroup A2, within the civil service staff.
- One position for Industrial Technical Engineer, from the Special Administration Scale, Technical Subscale, Middle Technicians Class, Subgroup A2, within the civil service staff.
- One position for Driver, corresponding to the contractual staff.
The proposal also incorporates a change in classification: the position of Environment Technician, within the civil service staff, under the Special Administration Scale, Technical Subscale, moves to subgroups A1/A2.
Amortizations and vacancies
In contrast to the creations, Agreement No. 580 suppresses five positions. Two of the amortizations apply effective from the date the vacancy occurs:
- One position for Secretary-Auditor, from the Scale of Local Administration civil servants with national qualification, Secretary-Auditor Subscale, Subgroup A1/A2, occupied until December 20, 2026.
- One position for Pruner/Mower Laborer, within the contractual staff, Professional Grouping Subgroup, occupied until October 18, 2026.
The remaining three are amortized without the condition of waiting for a vacancy:
- One position for Garden Laborer, within the civil service staff, Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, Trade Personnel Class, Professional Grouping Subgroup.
- One position for Pruner/Mower Laborer, within the contractual staff, Professional Grouping Subgroup.
- One position for Cleaner, within the contractual staff, Professional Grouping Subgroup.
Correction of errors in the annexes
The agreement includes a second section dedicated to the rectification of material errors in the staff list made public in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0116, dated June 22, 2026. In Annex IV, Temporary Staff, a position for Chief of Staff to the Mayor was listed as classified in Subgroup A2, whereas according to the agreement of the Plenary on June 27, 2023, regarding the number, characteristics, and remuneration of temporary staff, it corresponds to Subgroup A1. The rectification is supported by Article 109.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
In Annex II, Labor Staff, the category of Cleaner is likewise corrected, which appeared with 13 positions and 4 vacancies and must appear with 12 positions and 3 vacancies, according to the data in the file on the reference date.
Fifteen days of public information
The agreement is subject to public information for fifteen business days, following an announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province and on the Notice Board of the electronic headquarters of the Cáceres City Council, during which period interested parties may access the file and submit claims or suggestions. If none are formulated, the agreement will be understood as definitively adopted. The announcement was signed in Cáceres on October 20, 2026, by the Secretary General, Juan Miguel González Palacios.
The modification reorganizes the personnel structure of the Cáceres council: it reinforces technical positions in general and industrial administration and the labor staff for driving, while reducing positions for trades and cleaning and eliminating one national qualification position. The open period for allegations still conditions the final text, such that the staff list that is finally applied could vary from what has been published.
