Aguas de Langreo signs an agreement with 1,700 annual hours in 2027

The Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias publishes this September 24, 2026, the registration of the collective agreement of the company Aguas de Langreo, S. L., which establishes the working day, per diems, and social benefits for its staff for the 2025-2028 period. The Regional Ministry of Science, Industry, and Employment orders the registration in the Registry of Collective Agreements via resolution dated September 15, 2026, under file C-022/2026. The text was signed by the company and the staff delegates on August 18, 2026, in Sama de Langreo.
The resolution is issued under Article 90, numbers 2 and 3, of the consolidated text of the Workers’ Statute Law (Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of October 23) and Royal Decree 713/2010, of May 28, regarding the registration and deposit of agreements. The registration request was submitted by the Negotiating Commission electronically on September 3, 2026, with code 33004202012007, and the signing of the agreement occurred following the constitution of the commission on December 19, 2024.
The agreement comes into force on January 1, 2025, regardless of its publication, and extends until December 31, 2028, automatically renewable for one-year periods unless notice is given two months in advance. It applies to all labor personnel of the company, excluding senior management, across all its work centers dedicated to the integrated water cycle: abstraction, lifting, treatment, meter reading, distribution of drinking water, and sanitation and purification of wastewater.
Working day, vacations, and calendar
- Annual working day of 1,720 hours in 2025, 1,712 hours in 2026, and 1,700 hours in 2027 and 2028.
- December 24 and 31, and March 22 (World Water Day) shall be non-working days, except for the on-call staff and shift personnel at the E.T.A.P.
- Vacations of 30 calendar days, equivalent to 22 working days, which cannot be substituted by financial compensation.
- Summer schedule from June 15 to September 30, with a single weekly afternoon of work for office staff.
- Paid leave of 15 days for marriage, five days for serious accident or illness of relatives up to the second degree, and three days for personal matters.
Salaries, per diems, and supplements
- Salary increases of 2.50% in 2025 and 2.00% in 2026; in 2027 and 2028, the percentage established for the public sector will be applied.
- Per diem of 28.50 euros per effective day in 2025 and 29.07 euros in 2026; overtime hour at 20.80 euros in 2025 and 21.21 euros in 2026.
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner allowances of 3.73, 16.15, and 13.66 euros in 2025, which increase to 3.80, 16.47, and 13.94 euros in 2026; mileage of 0.31 and 0.32 euros per kilometer.
- Monthly water consumption allowance of 7.93 euros in 2025 and 8.09 euros in 2026, and an administration supplement of 30 euros per month (360 euros per year) starting January 1, 2026.
- Two extraordinary payments, paid on the last business day of June and December.
- Accrued arrears will be paid in the payroll of the month following the publication of the agreement in the BOPA.
Social benefits and joint commission
The company will supplement up to 100% of fixed concepts for temporary disability benefits resulting from occupational accidents starting from the day following the leave. In the case of temporary disability due to common illness, the supplement will be 80% between the fourth and twentieth day and 90% from the 21st day onwards.
The agreement includes a collective occupational accident insurance with compensation of 30,000 euros for total permanent disability, absolute disability, severe disability, or death. A Joint Commission is established with three members from the company and three from the workers, which will resolve discrepancies within one month, and the workplace adheres to the agreement on equality and non-discrimination of LGBTI people from the VII State Collective Agreement of the Integrated Water Cycle (BOE no. 155, of June 28, 2025).
Who signs the agreement
- For the company Aguas de Langreo, S. L.: José Enrique Granda Cabrales, Daniel Francisco Mesa Pandal, Alejandro Peral García, and Pablo Álvarez Fernández.
- For the legal representation of the workers: Manuel Terente García, Manuel Ángel Pérez Gutiérrez, and Xabiel Fernández García, staff delegates.
- As advisors to the SOMA-FITAG-UGT union: Eduardo Antonio Labajos García, Julio César Areces Suárez, Jairo García García, and Pablo Pérez Pello.
The publication closes a negotiating process of nearly two years and immediately activates the payment of 2025 arrears in the next payroll, in addition to establishing a working hour reduction path that will culminate in 1,700 annual hours in 2027. For the staff of Langreo and Laviana, the agreement consolidates seniority, shift, night, and holiday bonuses, and leave coverage, with increases linked in the last two years to what is agreed upon for the public sector.
