The Abrera City Council has opened the selection process to fill one position for a works and projects technician, career civil servant personnel, through the competitive examination system (concurs-oposició) in the open call, with the simultaneous creation of a job bank for temporary hires. The call was approved by Mayoral Decree no. 2026-2084, dated August 31, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona on September 10, 2026.

The position is assigned to the Territory and Environmental Sustainability area and is part of the municipality’s public employment offer. The process is governed by the regulatory bases of call 5840/2026, which can be consulted on the municipal website and on the notice board of the City Council’s electronic headquarters.

Position Characteristics and Remuneration

The job corresponds to the special administration scale, technical sub-scale, qualification group A, subgroup A2, with ordinary working hours and availability. The functions include the drafting of technical reports and projects, the execution management of municipal works, the management of subsidies, and the control of the municipality’s works files.

  • Remuneration: Destination Level 24 and an annual specific supplement of €24,230.39.
  • Registration fee: €35.00, with an exemption for job seekers in a situation of unemployment.
  • Internship period: 4 months, with the same remuneration as civil servants of the same category.

Requirements and Submission of Applications

Applicants must meet the requirements by the end of the application submission period, which will be 20 business days starting from the day after the last publication of the announcement in the BOPB or the DOGC.

  • Qualification: University Degree or Diploma in Technical Engineering or Building Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Catalan language: C1 level, with an eliminatory test for those who do not certify it.
  • Nationality: Spanish or from EU member states, with the exceptions provided for the free movement of workers.
  • Submission: preferably via electronic registry, or in person at the City Council offices (Pl. de la Constitució, 1), by certified mail, or at consular representations.

Phases of the Selection Process

The process is developed in three phases: examination (oposició), merit competition (concurs), and internship period. The examination phase, with a maximum of 70 points (minimum 35 to pass), includes a theoretical multiple-choice test (0-40 points, minimum 20), a practical case-study test (0-30 points, minimum 15), and the Catalan and Spanish language tests, which are eliminatory in nature.

The competition phase, with a maximum of 30 points, assesses professional experience (up to 15 points), training (up to 10 points), other academic degrees, knowledge of Catalan higher than C1, ACTIC certificates, and an optional non-eliminatory interview. The qualifying tribunal will consist of five permanent members and their substitutes.
