Mexico issues the Regulations of the Quality Infrastructure Law

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo signed the decree that develops the framework law for standardization, metrology, and conformity assessment, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on September 4, 2026. The regulation repeals that of the Federal Law on Metrology and Standardization of 1999 and affects the entire industry and certification bodies.

México expide el Reglamento de la Ley de Infraestructura de la Calidad

La presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo firmó el decreto que desarrolla la ley marco de normalización, metrología y evaluación de la conformidad, publicado en el Diario Oficial de la Federación el 4 de septiembre de 2026. El reglamento abroga el de la Ley Federal sobre Metrología y Normalización de 1999 y afecta a toda la industria y a los organismos de certificación.
