New JAS Standard for Almond Milk to be Established, Effective September 26

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will establish the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS 0033) for almond milk, which will come into effect on September 26, 2026. This marks the first time that labeling and certification standards for the plant-based milk market have been established, impacting food manufacturers, retailers, and importers.

アーモンドミルクのJAS規格を新設、9月26日施行へ

農林水産省はアーモンドミルクの日本農林規格（JAS 0033）を新設し、令和8年9月26日から施行する。植物性ミルク市場の表示・認証基準が初めて定まり、食品メーカーや小売・輸入業者に影響する。

Nueva norma JAS para la leche de almendras, entrará en vigor el 26 de septiembre

El Ministerio de Agricultura, Silvicultura y Pesca ha establecido la Norma Agrícola y Forestal Japonesa (JAS 0033) para la leche de almendras, la cual entrará en vigor el 26 de septiembre del año 8 de Reiwa. Por primera vez se definen los criterios de etiquetado y certificación para el mercado de leches vegetales, lo que afectará a los fabricantes de alimentos, minoristas e importadores.
