Yunquera de Henares convoca cinco plazas de peón temporal

The Yunquera de Henares City Council has approved, via Mayoral Resolution no. 2026-0775 of September 2, 2026, the terms and the call for the temporary hiring of five laborers. The offer is part of the 2026 Active Employment Support Program and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara, number 172, of September 9, 2026.

The call, signed by Mayor Lucas Castillo Rodríguez on September 4, is aimed at unemployed persons belonging to vulnerable groups and in situations of social exclusion, with the objective of creating labor insertion opportunities and renewing their professional skills.

Five positions in two programs

The contracts will be formalized under the modality of contracts linked to employment activation programs, with a non-renewable duration of 180 days, full-time, and with a morning schedule from Monday to Saturday. A one-month probationary period is established.

  • Four positions as multi-service laborers, for the maintenance of road infrastructure and municipal facilities (repair of sidewalks, municipal buildings, and public roads).
  • One position as a cleaning laborer, for urban beautification: conditioning, maintenance, and road cleaning, as well as municipal parks and gardens.

European co-financing and regulatory framework

The hiring is co-financed at 85% of the total eligible costs by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) of Castilla-La Mancha 2021-2027, as will be expressly stated in each contract. The call is governed by Order 46/2026, of April 7, of the Regional Ministry of Economy, Business and Employment, which regulates the terms for granting subsidies under the Active Employment Support Program.

The legal regime is completed by Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, Royal Decree 887/2006, the Recast Text of the Treasury Law of Castilla-La Mancha, and the European regulations governing the ESF+ for the 2021-2027 period.

Requirements and priority groups

Applicants must meet the general requirements of Article 56 of the Recast Text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees, hold a School Graduate certificate or equivalent, and not be subject to any incompatibilities. Priority will be given to persons registered at an Emplea Office of Castilla-La Mancha in an unemployed status who belong to any of these groups:

  • People between 30 and 66 years old who are not recipients of contributory unemployment benefits, or those with family responsibilities.
  • People with a recognized disability of 33% or higher.
  • Young people with low qualifications and beneficiaries of the Youth Guarantee.
  • Women victims of gender-based violence, who must account for at least 15% of the contracts.
  • People with autism spectrum disorders and victims of human trafficking.
  • LGBTI collectives who can prove labor discrimination by a final court ruling.

Additionally, at least 55% of the hired persons must be women, unless there is an insufficient number of candidates. Selection will be carried out in a single merit assessment phase, with a scale that scores time spent unemployed, family per capita income, family responsibilities, and experience.

Deadline and submission of applications

Applications shall be submitted at the Registry of the Yunquera de Henares City Council, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, or via the procedure set out in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, within a period of twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP. The call will also be disseminated on the municipal notice board and on the City Council’s electronic office.

Candidates who are not selected will become part of a job bank to fill possible vacancies. This call reinforces the municipality’s commitment to the labor insertion of the most vulnerable groups, combining European funds with temporary public employment in essential services for the town.
