Xove approves an immediate execution credit supplement

The Plenary of the Xove City Council, in an extraordinary session held on August 27, 2026, approved the credit modification file number 16/2026, in the modality of Credit Supplement. The decision, signed by the mayor José Demetrio Salgueiro Rapa, was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo (number 200, year 2026, of September 2), under the reference R. 2336.
Regulatory Framework
The agreement is processed under Article 42 of Royal Decree 500/1990, of April 20, in relation to Article 169 of Legislative Royal Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. This is a budgetary modification that increases the available credit in a specific item, without altering the overall municipal budget.

The file is available for public inspection at the Council’s Comptroller’s Office for a period of fifteen business days, counted from the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette, so that interested parties may submit claims to the Plenary.

Enforceability and Appeals
By application of paragraph 6 of Article 177 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, the file has an immediately executive character, meaning the modification can be applied without waiting for final approval. In the event that no claims are submitted, the credit modification will be considered definitively approved, after which a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed from the date of final approval.
