Villasayas opens the vehicle tax bonus for public information

Por FactBox Admin

Villasayas abre a información pública la bonificación del impuesto de vehículos

The Villasayas City Council has opened for public review the modification of the fiscal ordinance regulating the tax on mechanically propelled vehicles, which affects Article 6.- TAX RELIEFS. The change was agreed upon by the Plenary of the City Council in an ordinary session on October 14, 2026, and is announced in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 123, dated October 26, 2026 (reference BOPSO-123-26102026). Interested parties have 30 business days to submit claims.

The procedure complies with Article 17 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The plenary agreement is, therefore, a provisional approval: the regulation will only be definitively approved if no claims are submitted during the public exhibition period.

Exhibition at the Municipal Secretariat

The file containing the new wording of the ordinance is available to the public at the Secretariat of the Villasayas City Council. The period of 30 business days is counted from the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette, that is, from October 26, 2026, and therefore extends until the first days of December.

During this period, any interested person may examine the text and formulate the allegations they deem appropriate. If none are submitted, the agreement will be understood as definitively approved without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary, as stated in the announcement itself.

What is modified and what the announcement does not detail

The object of the modification is the article of the ordinance that regulates tax reliefs, the section that determines which vehicle owners can reduce the tax quota and under what circumstances. This is, therefore, a change that directly affects the mechanically propelled vehicle tax bill of the owners registered in the municipality.

  • Approving body: Plenary of the Villasayas City Council.
  • Session date: October 14, 2026 (ordinary session).
  • Affected provision: Article 6.- TAX RELIEFS of the fiscal ordinance.
  • Publication of the announcement: Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 123, dated October 26, 2026.
  • Deadline for claims: 30 business days from publication.
  • Place of consultation: City Council Secretariat.

The published announcement does not reproduce the literal text of the new wording of the article, so the exact content of the tax reliefs must be consulted in the file exhibited at the Municipal Secretariat.

A plenary with more economic agreements

The session of October 14, 2026, was not limited to the tax ordinance. The same Plenary initially approved the General Budget, the Execution Bases, and the personnel staffing for the 2027 fiscal year, a file that was also submitted for public review for fifteen days.

Added to this is the initial approval of the credit modification file no. 01/2026 of the current budget, in the form of a credit supplement and extraordinary credit, financed by the Liquid Treasury Surplus. All announcements are signed by the mayor, Miguel Contreras Martínez, and the one regarding the ordinance is dated October 21, 2026.

Impact for vehicle owners

The modification affects the receipt of the tax on mechanically propelled vehicles, a tribute paid by all owners of cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles registered in the municipality. Any change in the bonus regime translates in practice into a variation of the amount to be paid by each taxpayer who meets the specified conditions.

The period now open is the last opportunity for affected residents and owners to become aware of the new text and challenge it before it comes into definitive effect. Once the period of 30 business days has passed without claims, the modified ordinance will be automatically approved and will become fully applicable.
