Villalgordo del Júcar somete a consulta la nueva ordenanza del cementerio

The City Council of Villalgordo del Júcar has initially approved the modification of the Regulatory Ordinance of the Municipal Cemetery and has submitted it for public information and hearing of interested parties for a period of thirty days. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 105, dated September 9, 2026, page 33, within the Third Section of Local Administration.

The agreement was adopted by the Municipal Plenary in an ordinary session held in the first call on June 11, 2026. During the exhibition period, residents of the municipality and funeral services may submit claims and suggestions regarding the new text before its final approval.

A thirty-day process

The modification of the ordinance remains open for public information for thirty calendar days from the publication of the announcement in the gazette. Within that period, any interested person may submit allegations to the City Council.

  • Period for allegations: thirty days from publication.
  • Recipients: residents of the municipality and funeral service companies.
  • Deciding body: the Plenary of the City Council of Villalgordo del Júcar.
  • Object: the modification of the Regulatory Ordinance of the Municipal Cemetery.

The processing is supported by the local regime and local treasury regulations, which regulate the approval procedure for municipal ordinances:

  • Article 49 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime.
  • Article 17 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the consolidated text of the Law regulating Local Treasuries.

Both regulations establish the obligation to submit the initial approval agreements of the ordinances for public information and hearing of interested parties, thus guaranteeing citizen participation in the drafting of local regulations.

What happens if there are no allegations

If no claim or suggestion is submitted within the indicated period, the provisional agreement will be understood as definitively adopted, without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary. Otherwise, the City Council must examine and resolve the allegations presented before submitting the text for final approval.

The new ordinance will directly affect the management of the municipal cemetery, an essential service for the residents of Villalgordo del Júcar and for the companies that provide funeral services in the town. Citizen participation in this process is the means to adjust the content of the regulation to the real needs of the municipality before it comes into force, so that the final result reflects both the will of the Plenary and the contributions of the interested parties.
