The Vila-seca City Council has approved the regulatory bases to permanently fill one position as Culture Area Coordinator (subgroup A1) and two positions as Culture Mid-level Technician (subgroup A2), all under the regime of permanent contractual staff and through a competitive examination system (concurs-oposició) in the open call. The resolution was issued by Mayoral Decree no. 2026-2485, dated August 24, 2026, and is published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on September 1, 2026 (file 2026-10767, CVE 2026-08113).

The call includes the selection of one position for Senior Technician/Culture Area Coordinator (ID 212), group A, subgroup A1, and two positions for Culture Mid-level Technician (ID 200 and ID 213), group A, subgroup A2. Additionally, two job banks are being established, one for each category, for future needs of the area.

The positions require a university degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of Humanities and/or Social Sciences, and entail schedule flexibility and availability to attend events outside of regular working hours.
Selection process and tests
Selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system, with a first phase of examination (maximum 60 points) and a second phase of merit competition, which only those who pass the first phase may access. For the coordinator profile (A1), a theoretical test of 20 multiple-choice questions is planned (maximum 20 points, minimum 10 to pass), a practical test (maximum 40 points, minimum 20), and C1 level knowledge tests in Catalan and Spanish, which are eliminatory.
Two qualifying tribunals will be established, one for each job position, consisting of a president, four members, and a secretary, each with their respective substitutes. The tests for the two processes may coincide in date and time.
