The State Plant Protection Service publishes changes to the Register of Plant Protection Products

Latvijas Vēstnesis in the issue of September 23, 2026, No. 183 (OP 2026/183) published three notices from the State Plant Protection Service regarding changes to the Register of Plant Protection Products. The notices are located in the official notices section, on pages 5–7, and were issued by the State Plant Protection Service information. The register is the official list that determines which plant protection products are permitted for marketing and use in Latvia; therefore, changes to it directly affect farming practices.

The marketing of plant protection products in Latvia is regulated by the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 949 of December 13, 2011, “Regulations on the Marketing of Plant Protection Products”. These regulations were amended on September 18, 2026, by Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 560, published in the September 18 issue of Latvijas Vēstnesis, No. 180 (OP 2026/180).

The State Plant Protection Service announces register changes regularly. The previous notice of this type was published on September 7, 2026, in issue No. 171 (OP 2026/171) as item 7, “On changes to the Register of Plant Protection Products”.

Publication clarifications

Two of the three notices from September 23 are clarifications referring to previously published information on register changes. This means that the service is correcting already published register information, rather than solely adding new entries.

The clarifications are published under separate sequence numbers in items 6 and 7, and for each, the publisher is indicated as State Plant Protection Service information.
