Valls opens 2026 grants for neighborhood associations

The Valls City Council has opened the 2026 call for grants for the Neighborhood Associations of Valls and its Districts, corresponding to activities carried out during the year 2025. The decision was adopted by agreement of the Local Governing Board on August 7, 2026, and was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) on August 27, 2026, with the official reference CVE 2026-07992 (pp. 1-3).
The call, registered in the National Grants Database with the code BDNS 925963, is published in compliance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general law on grants. The full text can be consulted on the municipal electronic office and the state grants platform.
Amount and purpose of the aid
A maximum total amount of 27,000 euros is allocated for the granting of these aids, charged to budget item 40104-92500-48901 of the municipal budget. The purpose of the aid is to finance the activities carried out by neighborhood associations during the year 2025.
The regulatory bases are the general grant bases of the Valls City Council and its autonomous bodies, published in the BOPT on July 12, 2021. All non-profit neighborhood associations of Valls and its Districts may apply.
Deadline and submission of applications
The deadline for submitting applications is 20 calendar days starting from the day after the publication of the call in the BOPT. Applications must be formalized using the form available on the municipal website (www.valls.cat) and submitted electronically through the electronic office (seu.valls.cat). Submission after the deadline will result in the exclusion of the applicant.
The following documentation must be attached to the application:
- Application form and a photocopy of the association’s CIF (Tax ID).
- Certificate proving that tax obligations and Social Security payments are up to date.
- Proof of ownership of the bank account where the aid payment is to be made.
- Responsible declarations regarding the fulfillment of requirements, the absence of other grants, and authorization for tax verification.
- Report of the 2025 activities, including supporting documentation, costs, and account statements.
- Justifying invoices for the subsidized amount and proof of payment (receipt, bank transfer, or nominal pay slip).
Documentary requirements and corrections
All documentation must be digitally signed by the legal representative of the association; handwritten documents and photographs are not accepted. Invoices must detail the concept to verify that the expense aligns with the purpose of the grant, and receipts must indicate the debtor’s NIF, the amount, the invoice to which they refer, and the payment date.
If the documentation submitted is incorrect or incomplete, the beneficiary will be required to proceed with the necessary rectification or amendments within ten business days; otherwise, it will be understood that they are withdrawing their application. The announcement is signed by the deputy secretary of the City Council, Jerónimo Rivas Gómez, dated August 18, 2026.
Impact on the associative fabric
This call represents direct financial support for the associative fabric of Valls and its districts, non-profit entities that form the backbone of the neighborhood and community life of the municipality. Interested associations have three weeks to submit their applications and justify the activities carried out last year.
