Valdepeñas announces two Local Police vacancies via mobility

Por FactBox Admin

The Valdepeñas City Council has approved the rules for the selection process to fill two Local Police positions through the mobility system, which are vacant in the municipality’s civil service staff. The call is formalized by Mayoral Decree 2026-7083, dated August 28, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 167, dated September 1, 2026 (announcement number 2802).

The two positions belong to the Basic Scale, Police category, of the Local Police Corps, classified in subgroup C1, with a destination supplement level of 19 and a specific supplement of 500 points. The process is part of the Public Employment Offer of the Valdepeñas City Council for 2026, approved in the BOP of Ciudad Real number 142, dated July 28, 2026.

Applicant Requirements

The mobility competition is aimed at civil servants from other Local Police corps in Castilla-La Mancha. To be admitted, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a civil servant of a Local Police Corps of Castilla-La Mancha in the Police category, with a minimum of three years of seniority in said category.
  • Hold a High School diploma (Bachiller), Technician degree or equivalent, or have completed the waiver training activities provided for in the Local Police Coordination Law of Castilla-La Mancha.
  • Have remained in the last job obtained through any provision system for a minimum of two years.

Excluded are disqualified civil servants, those under a final suspension, and those in an administrative situation other than active. All requirements must be met with reference to the date of publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha.

Submission of Applications and Scoring Scale

Applications shall be submitted through the City Council’s electronic office (valdepenas.sedelectronica.es), within the “Procedures Catalog” menu, “Selection Processes” category, or through the common electronic registry of the Administration’s general access point. The deadline will be fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the DOCM, and Cl@ve will be used as the identification system.

The competition consists of two valuation phases:

  • General merits (up to 60 points): seniority (maximum 15 points), academic qualifications (maximum 20), and police-interest training courses (maximum 25).
  • Specific merits (up to 40 points): a job analysis report (maximum 10 points) and a personal interview before the Valuation Commission (maximum 30).

Resolution and Taking Office

The call for applications will be resolved within a maximum period of three months from the publication of the announcement in the DOCM, with the proposal being awarded to the candidate with the highest final score. In the event of a tie, the score for general merits will be used and, if the tie persists, the score for specific merits. The positions may not be declared vacant unless no candidates apply.

The assumption of office must take place within five business days from the cessation of the previous position, which must occur within three business days from its publication in the BOP. Personnel occupying the positions through mobility will remain, in their administration of origin, in a status of services in other Public Administrations.

The call, which concludes the administrative route, may be appealed for reversal within one month or before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Ciudad Real within two months. With this offer, Valdepeñas reinforces its local security staff by opening access to already trained officers from other municipalities in the region, a mechanism that streamlines the filling of vacancies without the need for new competitive examination processes.
