The public company VAERSA, Valenciana d’Estratègies i Recursos per a la Sostenibilitat Ambiental, SA, has announced 46 positions for prevention and surveillance operators/guards, via open competition and internal promotion. The announcement, corresponding to the public employment offers of 2023, 2024, and 2025, is published in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) no. 10470, dated October 14, 2026, within section II, with the official reference DOGV-C-2026-31472.
The call, identified as ID 377, covers forty-six positions as indefinite contractual staff and has been authorized by the Directorate General of Budgets of the Department of Economy, Finance and Public Administration of the Generalitat Valenciana. The positions are assigned to the Services department and are divided between the open competition, internal promotion, and the reserve for functional diversity.
The full regulations are published on the VAERSA Employment Portal (https://empleo.portalvaersa.com), a platform that handles registration, the accreditation of merits, and the publication of subsequent announcements of the process.
Open competition, internal promotion, and functional diversity
- Most of the positions correspond to the 2025 public employment offer and are offered via open competition.
- A significant block of positions is reserved for internal promotion.
- Several open competition positions include a reserve for functional diversity (DF).
- Positions announced for internal promotion or functional diversity that remain vacant will be accumulated and offered to those who participated via open competition.
Special positions: motor pumps and surveillance of natural spaces
The announcement details four positions with specific destinations and classifications, all via open competition and with classification E10E004:
- R150157, motor pump prevention and surveillance operator, in the Sant Mateu Motor Pump Unit.
- R150326, motor pump prevention and surveillance operator, in the Xàtiva Motor Pump Unit.
- R150101, guard, at the Reclot Observatory.
- R150281, guard, in the Garrofera/Alzira Mobile Unit.
Competitive examination in four phases
The selection process will be resolved through a competitive examination system (concurso-oposición) and is structured into four phases:
- First: receipt of applications and the merits proving compliance with the requirements, with a provisional self-assessment for purely informative purposes.
- Second: review of the access requirements by the OTS, which verifies compliance with the rules for all applications.
- Third: theoretical-practical technical tests, which are eliminatory, with a five-calendar-day period for appeals following the publication of the provisional results.
- Fourth: provisional and final assessment of merits, with another five-calendar-day period for appeals.
The final score is divided between the technical tests, which account for 60% (60.00 points), and the assessment of the professional profile, which contributes 40% (40.00 points). Positions are awarded in order of priority according to the final score: the person with the highest grade chooses first, and so on until the offered vacancies are exhausted.
Application period and accreditation of merits
- The application submission period is 15 calendar days, counted from the day following the publication of the call in the DOGV.
- Work experience, academic and complementary training, and knowledge of Valencian must be accredited within this period; documents submitted subsequently will not be taken into consideration.
- Accreditation must be carried out through the Employment Portal’s IT platform, following the acceptance of the VAERSA data privacy policy.
- Examination fees are paid in accordance with point 5 of the rules, and their payment or exemption is accredited within the same electronic application process.
- Appeals are only admitted electronically, in the corresponding section of the registration itself.
The call is one of the largest public employment offers of the day in the Valencian environmental sector and opens 46 permanent positions in a sector—environmental prevention and surveillance—with a growing demand for personnel. The announcement was signed in València on October 2, 2026, by Victor Doménech Hellín, general director of VAERSA.
